"My father ( Roger), was a former resident at Meadowbrook. He was well cared for by the staff and administration, the entire duration of his stay. Throughout his long journey toward recovery..he was placed in many care facilities around the KCMO/KS area, and family saw firsthand the difference between an exceptional facility as Meadowbrook and....well....the others. The staff at MB go way beyond what is considered their job, and do everything possible to make the residents, as well as their families feel at home. My family will never forget the kindness and attention shown to us, and our loved one. God bless you all."

"I'm here at Good Samaritan Society - Olathe for rehab. When I came here, I couldn't speak as well as I can now. When I came here, I was in a wheelchair, but I'll be leaving with a cane and a walker. They also offered other services. If I had more of a disability than I do now, they would be able to help me with that, too. The staff here are very friendly. My room is small. It's a shared room. They serve good food. The facility is excellent. They have activities and programs, but I haven't availed myself of them."

" I was out touring facilities in the area and stopped to visit Royal Terrace it was not as I had heard. I was glad I made the stop. The facility was neat a very clean with friendly staff the Admissions department was great. Don't believe everything you hear! Stop in I am sure they will be just as great to you as they were for me. I especially liked the Alzheimer's locked down unit, where my dad is now. while I was there they had Don Milsap singing old country and rock song, he does that for them once a month and my dad love it! Great quality of long term care and for Alzheimer's residents too! "

"My parents moved into memory care at The Homestead of Olathe South and it's been very good. It's a single level, secure memory care facility, and they have very good level of activities and a good community feel to the way the facility is operated. So far, my parents are very pleased with the food, the amount, and quality. They have a communal dining area, and they're doing fine with that so far. It has only been a week and they're getting to know everybody, so it's a good experience so far. They have an enclosed courtyard in the center of the facility that's very spacious, so if the weather's nice, the memory care patients can go outside anytime. The place was built in the 1980s, but it's very well-kept. There are daily activities and my father is taking part in some of them."

"The food at Ottawa Retirement could be 100% better. Their level of expertise could be a little bit better. I know they're nurses, but sometimes they don't act like it. The staff is OK, but they tell you one thing and do another. They don't follow through with what they say they're going to do. My mom wasn't really that active, but they go to church every week, and they play bingo sometimes. As far as activities, they don't have any activities at all. They could improve on their management. "

"My mother went to The Healthcare Resort of Leawood when she got out of the hospital. She was only there for three nights. They had nursing care and assisted living was in another wing. They had a movie room. The staff was OK, but they kept changing. She wasn't impressed with the place. They had happy hour, but she didn't participate in it. The staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating to her. She didn't like the food."

"This nursing home is now also known as Evergreen Community of Johnson County. It is definitely worth your time to take a tour. They take a unique outside the box approach to how they care for their patients and the flexibility they offer them. We looked at this place for my loved one and were really impressed with the staff, cleanliness and decor of the facility, and their approach on care. The only reason we did not place my loved one in this facility is because it was a little far for us to drive. Otherwise, this would have been our top pick out of about 6 or 8 places we toured. "
