"After reading online reviews of Hope Creek I was reluctant to have my wife go there for her hospice treatment. I was wrong. Hope Creek is a wonderful facility. It is very clean and the staff is professional, caring and compassionate. My wife received excellent treatment and I am very satisfied. Watching the residents of the memory care unit I could see the challenges faced by the staff on a daily basis. All issues were handled with grace and dignity. You can see that the staff cares for their residents and treat them as such. I highly recomment Hope Creek as a long term care facility."

"My father was a resident of Ann's Place for memory care for 2 years. My mother was a resident of the long term care facility for 5 years. Both passed away while at the facility. During those 5 years, they received excellent care from everyone at Iowa Masonic. The nurses, the CNAs, the dietary and laundry workers, and the activities organizer were caring, compassionate, and attentive to my parents' needs. Residents, their rooms, and the facility in general were always kept clean and tidy. In addition, Iowa Masonic's communication with me and other family members was appropriate and professional."

"My family and I are immensely grateful for the exceptional care our loved one received at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehab Center. The staff's unwavering dedication to both professionalism and compassion was truly remarkable. The facility's cleanliness and commitment to hygiene were outstanding, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents. What stood out most was the staff's genuine empathy and respect for each individual. They provided personalized care that went above and beyond our expectations, addressing specific needs and preferences. St. Anthony's created a sense of community and support, making a challenging time much more manageable. We wholeheartedly recommend St. Anthony's to anyone in search of top-notch care for their loved ones. Thank you for your exceptional commitment to excellence in healthcare."

"While I feel as though the facility was well equip to deal with Alzheimer's patients, they were perhaps understaffed to deal with the amount of patients they have. My Grandmother would mention how a particular resident would come into her room at night. While I do not believe there were any ill intentions in this occurrence, it made me realize the amount of supervision that is needed to deal with patients suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's and I became aware of the interactions between the nurses and patients. During my visits the nurses were always dealing with issues that arose from patients which left many unsupervised. My complaint here is not with the nurses as they were very congenial, my complaint is rather with the seemingly stretched staff. "

"My mother is over at Centennial Rehab & Healthcare, but she has to quarantine for 14 days. The staff seemed friendly. The facility was really nice. I like that their capacity is only 120. Because of COVID everybody's on lockdown. From the overall virtual tour that I did on Zoom, I was very pleased with it. It's in a nice neighborhood. Everything was up to standards."

"My husband works in construction, and had to have his left knee replaced. His doctor recommended outpatient therapy at an assisted living facility to help him get back to normal. I was able to find the Friendship Manor was on our insurance program, so we visited them to see if he would feel comfortable working with them. When we got there, we noticed how up to date the facility was and that they would be the perfect place for my husband to get his physical therapy. We met with the Director of Nursing and she explained the programs they offered. We also met with the Physical therapist and after chatting with her for thirty minutes, we decided to setup the first appointment for my husband's therapy. My husband has been going to his therapy for two weeks now and he is doing very well. He will have at least four more weeks of therapy, but thanks to this great facility he is healing very well after his surgery. "

"I would like to compliment, Jill, your activites director. She does a really good job caring for the residents. She is always planning things for them to do. She is always helping people. She is always fun to be with. Jill cares for the residents and does all she can for them. My husband George appreciates all she does for him and he enjoys the activities she plans. Jill goes up and beyond her job."

"My husband has been at The Ivy for almost 2 years. The Staff has been Great! He's now Full Assist and The Staff meets his every need! They keep an eye on him 24/7. Even though he can no longer talk, that doesn't matter to The Staff. They treat him with respect & talk with him every time they walk by. I don't know what we would have done without The Ivy's care!"

"I am a permanent resident now over at Manorcare Health Services-Utica Ridge. I had spent a week in the hospital because my magnesium and potassium are both really low. When I left there, I came over here because I was going to do the physical therapy. I did four weeks of physical therapy here and then after that, I was supposed to go home. However, I can't go back to my apartment. I was at a point where I needed 24-hour care, seven days a week because I could not get up. I do not have any muscle power to go from the chair to bed to the toilet; I just can't get up by myself, I had to have help. So, then we're trying to decide where I was to go since I could not go home, and I said is there any way we can work something out to stay here because I have already spent four weeks upstairs on the physical therapy floor and got acquainted with everybody and I was comfortable here. I don't want to go anywhere else if it is at all possible. They made it happen, so I was really thankful and really happy here. It is a 24-hour care and they've got three shifts here. There is somebody here with you all the time. There are two beds in the room, and they paired me up with the perfect roommate, it was unbelievable. We were so much alike, it was a perfect match, and we get along real well. They have really nice rooms. You got your closet, drawers and nightstand and then the two beds, and two TVs: it's all really nice. When I was up in the therapy floor, I did not have any roommates. There were still two beds there, but I was there by myself. On one side of the coin, that was fine, but on the one side I really enjoyed my roommate. They have an activity room, and they have different things going on there all the time like exercise class, bingo, different games, and get together with some of the other residents. You kind of get to know people if you go down there. They do that around 10 o'clock in the morning. They got a regular gym down there. For a while we were doing the therapy in the room because of Covid but now we can go down to the gym, so you got all your equipment and stuff for the different exercises down there so that helps. The food is a little on the bland side, but my sister got me this garlic pepper, it gives a little bit more flavor. I have not had any bad meal yet; I have enjoyed all of it. I love to eat so it's all been good to me. We are allowed visitors, but they cannot come to the room, you either visit up in the main entrance there in the lobby or sometimes you have to take them outside. I am covered by Medicaid and got in on that and that made it possible for me to stay here and that is a good thing."

"My dad was at Genesis Center for rehab. It is in a local hospital. The staff was good. The food is alright, he didn't complain too much. The facility is real nice. There's good beds, TV channels and it's clean. The layout was good. It's just a 1-bedroom and 1-bathroom. They're real good, excellent and the insurance covers it all."

"My mother is in the Good Samaritan Society. It's a good nursing home, they take care of the patients, it's just very costly. The staff, the aides, and everybody there, they're good, and they've taken a lot of anger off for her. It seems clean, they have housekeeping there, cleaning the rooms every day."

"I am going to Ridgecrest. I have put down a deposit. It is excellent. The room is adequate for my needs. They will allow me to bring my dog. Those are important things to me. The vibes are good. The dining room is lovely. It is a welcoming community. They re-do the rooms when they get new members. They provide one meal a day, and the washing machine is available for the residents' use."

"The Kahl Home I feel provides the very best care available. When you are no longer able to continue caring for your loved one, the staff will assist you and believe me, they have the nessary equiptment to do a far better job than what can be done at home. They not only care for your loved one but provide emotional and physical support to the family as well."

"We went to Davenport Lutheran Home. It was very nice. It was smaller than the other facilities, but in a good way because the hallways weren't as long. It was very homey. The apartments were actually good size. They had a full kitchen, which I thought was nice too. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and very accommodating. She answered questions. The dining area was fine, but we didn't have any of the food. The staff was telling us about some of the activities they offer. They have different musical things playing. There's a little area where you can sit and watch movies, either on your own or with friends. You can play cards. There were different activities there. It was a much smaller facility, but it was kind of more homey. It was nice."

"My father was at Hammond Henry Nursing for rehabilitation. It's very new. The staff was compassionate and unbelievably excellent. My father was kind of unusual. He praised everybody for everything they did and thanked them profusely. If somebody gave him a bath, he said he'd tell them what was so wonderful about that bath. He appreciated so much everything everybody did for him, and he wanted them to know it. It's a smaller facility, and they probably gave better one-on-one care. My dad did not like the food there, though. But he was a connoisseur of food. He wanted salt and he wanted flavor. The nursing staff were incredibly helpful and compassionate. They guided us immensely. We didn't know what to expect, but they really gave us great guidance. They did a very nice job. Dad came back there on a hospice program. He was practically on his death bed saying thank you to the staff. He saw a human being in them and not a worker. And in turn they just bent over backwards for him. He died there last September. "

"My dad moved into Allure of Geneseo. I liked that you've got somebody that they watch over 24/7. My father was diagnosed with dementia about three years ago, and he can't remember three minutes ago. I do like the care that he received. The staff rotates a lot. I don't see the same person, but I might see them every couple of weeks. Usually, I see different people all the time. The structure is solid and very clean. They clean his apartment almost daily. They've got bingo, arts and crafts. They've got stuff to keep them busy all day. The layout is nice. They've got several emergency exits but there's one door that allows you in and out of that floor. The size of his apartment is beautiful. He's got a bathroom with an area for him to sit down like a sit-down in a shower. He's got a big walk-in closet. He's got a side where we have his bed and a living area. It's a pretty good size."

"The foremost thing I have noticed is the caring staff. Most of the staff have been there many years which tells me a lot. Anytime I have asked any of them to do anything for my Mother it was promptly done without complaint. The food is varied and plentiful. There are numerous choices on the menu. It always looks delicious. There is a very nice court yard where the patients can visit with family outside with plenty of picnic tables for a family get together. The building is old and not the most beautiful nursing home I have visited but the price is reasonable considering the quality care. This nursing home is rated 5 star by the state and the staff works very hard to keep that rating. I have not regretted having my Mother there the last 17 months. "
