"My mother is in Pekin Manor, and for the value I'd say they are excellent. She was in the bounce-back program and the physical therapy is very good. The staff is very attentive to the needs of anybody that's there. The living quarters are adequate. I have been there when she was eating, and the food looks good. The community is a little older, and has been there a long time. It's skilled nursing so there's a lot of therapy twice a day. As far as activities, they have people who come in and sing, and things like that."

"We chose Washington Christian Village for my aunt because of the location and cost. It meets the needs and it's where we needed to be both cost wise and proximity to where all the family live. During Covid, they are offering meals in the dining room once a week and the rest of the week, the residents are eating in their rooms. They offer transportation to appointments, beauty shop, and activities. Everything is scaled back because of Covid. The cleaning, nursing, bathing, and dressing assistance were included in the price, instead of it being additional cost. She hasn't moved in yet, so from a residential standpoint, I don't know about that. The staff was very informational and very accommodating."

"On the way up !!!! I can't believe the improvements. I In the last 6 months The headway that this facility has made is just incredible. Just brought .home a loved one. Just wanted to let everyone know this facility is not even close to the past. Some new nursing staff and to the kitchen food is 100% better. .Also I really could not of gotten more help anywhere. "This facility is now Cornerstone. It is absolutely horrible, nothing more than a glorified dog kennel. Our family is in the process of moving our loved one to another facility. When it was St. Clare Home we were very happy with the care our loved one was provided but once Peterson Corporation took over they have absolutely run it and the staff into the ground. They have a continual turnover in staff and rely on agency help, who don't even know the residents' names. A truly sad situation. "

"The Bel-Wood Nursing Home, has always been known for its friendly service. It's recommended to many seniors, for it is a large non-for-profit center. With staff and volunteers on hand, every hour of the day occupants feel safe and at home. Bel-Wood , is located just outside of Bartonville, and provides free shuttle busses to take seniors to desirable locations. Although many occupants have chosen to no longer own a vehicle, the building is family accessible. Visitors parking is abundant, and seniors feel content with their own privacy, while knowing friends can visit at any time. The majority of Bel-Wood's tenants feel cared for. It seems as if no one is neglect with so many staff members. All of the seniors are close. Game rooms bring people together, and family visits frequently, to the majority of occupants. Although getting older can be hard for some, the seniors living at this nursing home don't seem to mind. They feel relieved to be with people their own age. It makes for a healthy atmosphere. I would recommend any senior struggling on their own to consider Bel-Wood Nursing Home. "

"They are very accommodating at Heartland. They ordered a special bed for my sister-in-law. She also has dietary restrictions, and they've tried very hard to meet those. Everyone has been very pleasant and helpful. She feels that the physical therapy is wonderful, and it's getting good results. The rooms are large. There's one bed per room with a bathroom in-between. They have flat-screen TV's and plenty of storage. It's a nice physical therapy department, and they seem to be doing a great job. She does eat her meals in her room. There's also a dining room, but you have a choice. So in her situation, it was nice to have a choice. "

"ATTENTION Do not put your loved ones in this facility. My family had to send my grandmother there and the amount of negligence made my decide to quit my job at a local hospital to take care of her!!!! The staff is rude and very inappropriate "

"My sister is now in Rosewood Care Center. I feel that she is getting an excellent care. They are on top on every single problem that occurs. Yesterday, they had a 60-day care plan meeting, and since I live up here in Chicago area, I am on speakerphone, so I am part of the meeting. I think I the staff and the facility are excellent. They have a lot of activities. My sister only goes once in a great while, not often, but when she does, she tells me she has a wonderful time. They have bingo. She tells me she is stringing Cheerios and Fruit Loops on this little wired thing, and they are going to put them out for the birds, because for each room, they have a bird feeder, so they can watch the birds. She likes doing that. She says she is doing it with some music playing. They are talking about the music. They have a party -- I think she calls it a Halloween Party -- but it is after dinner last Friday. From what I understand from the CNAs, she participates in singing. They have a van that will take her to any kind of doctor's appointment. My sister is in a wheelchair and has had a stroke, so her whole left side is affected. Then, she falls and breaks her arm in two places, so she is not really mobile. My sister-in-law will prefer her to go in the van, and then my sister-in-law drives and meets her at the doctors. Then, they put her back to the van and bring her back to Rosewood. They have a podiatrist that comes in once a month. She is very happy there. "

"I have been at Lutheran Hillside Village for four years now. Overall, this is a very good facility, and I am satisfied. Their apartments are excellent. We do have different activities like happy hour every Friday night and many more. They have a bus that takes the residents out. The staff was very good and very nice as well. Their food is very good. I have no problems with regard to their security; it's very good. "

"I toured Apostolic Christian Skylines. It was beautiful scenery. It was not too far outside of town, but it was away from everything. My problem with it was the cost. It was more on the pricey side. Other than that, it was a great place. I like the menu and all that they have to offer. The room was nice. However, for what my father was trying to bring (He's a packrat and he was trying to bring too much), it would have been a little tight. It is ample space for what you need in there. Overall, if I could afford it, it would have been a perfect place. The staff members were very helpful. There were no dumb questions. I didn't feel stupid. No question was illiterate to them. The staff was really friendly. The facility got a little confusing, not so much for me, but my father."

"My brother is at Liberty Village of Peoria. It has a basic layout for the skilled nursing facility. It has long hallways with individual rooms, which look like you're in a hotel. The rooms are quite big. In the skilled nursing area, there are 2 people in a room, but each room is 32 feet long by 16 feet wide. So, it gives each resident a little bit of space on his own. Their rehab facility seems very well educated and most of the people there are kind and caring. They seem to have fun with the residents. Those who need help feeding themselves seem to be taken care of. I've been going out there almost every day and I go out at lunchtime, so the food looks pretty good. I haven't sampled it, but I watch most of the residents eat and they seem to be enjoying themselves. The desserts look especially good. My brother mingles with the people who can go down to the lounge, and they have little activities there like games, but there was not a lot to do on the skilled nursing side."

"This facility is by far the best nursing home that I have visited so far. I am a certified nursing assistant and have been in some nursing homes that are unclean and seem like a prison. Upon entering the nursing home I walked under a grand entrance way that was nicely decorated. There was no odd smell and felt homey and comfortable. The receptionist was very polite and welcoming. The nursing home had 2 different floors and each floor housed the different levels of care, level 2 was assisted living to minimal care and level one was complete assist and Alzheimer's unit. The hallways were a warm and inviting color and the floors were a newly placed, clean darker tile. The resident's rooms were also the same colors, accept the floors were a laminate hard wood floor. The staff was very friendly and the resident's looked happy too. The kitchen was very clean and the staff was appropriately dressed. The menu was put together well and included choices for the residents in case they did not like what they were eating that night. Overall I was completely impressed with this nursing home and would recommend it to anyone. "

"We live in a cottage for the past 3 and a half years. It is the best decision we ever made to move while we were still able to make our own decisions. Snyder helped us with our move and because our house sold so fast it was unbelieveably chaotic! They gave us the name of an organizer and she was with us all the way thru even to having blue prints on the walls of our cottage showing the movers where to put our furniture. She helped us thru what could have been a really confusing time. I can't say enough good things about my home and the town has everything I need even band concerts in a historical square. Thank you Snyder for making our life so comfortable! "

"I thought the cottages were excellent. Clean, very well maintained and a pleasure to visit. Members of the staff would still make rounds to the cottages, but not as frequently as they would at the assisted living facility. Those who lived in the cottages could still drive and the roads were well taken care of and each cottage had a garage. I don't have anything bad to say about the cottages.The assisted living facility was also very nice, but the staff was often hurried and it did have an unpleasant odor to it. I'm sure that's fairly standard for assisted living facilities. "
