We're moving into Liberty Village of Pekin. The other place's price is $3,400 and it's $2,800 for the very same thing, so that's a big difference. The floorplans are about equal, too. The staff member who took me around was very knowledgeable, and she has been there for a few years, and so she knows what's going on. They got excellent food. It's very kept up. They supply the appliances. They have refrigerators and stoves. Everything is in here. They have a pool. The pool is closed because of COVID reasons and so on, but they have outdoor spaces and patios.

My mother is in Pekin Manor, and for the value I'd say they are excellent. She was in the bounce-back program and the physical therapy is very good. The staff is very attentive to the needs of anybody that's there. The living quarters are adequate. I have been there when she was eating, and the food looks good. The community is a little older, and has been there a long time. It's skilled nursing so there's a lot of therapy twice a day. As far as activities, they have people who come in and sing, and things like that.

My husband was in a locked Alzheimer's center at Pekin Manor (Liberty Village). It's an older facility, not as nice, smaller, and that makes a difference. The staff was fine. They have a small outdoor area where they can go. They were disadvantaged because of the space, and what they had to work with.
