"Mom has taken her rehab at Morton Villa for about two months. I've been up there and visited a couple of times. The nurses and the therapists have been fine with her. They've always been very cooperative and pleasant with families. "

"My wife is at Arcadia Care at Morton for rehab. They're all good people. They listen and provide what they can. It's in good shape. She's in a one bedroom and she got everything in there. The food is pretty appetizing, a three-course meal. Sometimes she doesn't like the stuff that she got. I don't know how they determine the meals or anything like that, but for the most part, they are pretty good. The facility is not currently good, but mostly good. She gets therapy and help in the shower."

"My mother in law has been at Heritage for 6months and we are impressed with how she has been well taken care of. The Alzeimers care has especially been good with regular activities and creating a more home like atmosphere. "

"El Paso nursing home is a very nice and well appointed place to stay. The rooms are very clean and they have maids clean the place daily. The rooms are fairly spacious and you can have a t.v. or internet if you choose. There are many activities you can do there from ordering out from Mcdonalds to playing video games. In addition you can order out from many other good restaurants for dinner every night at 5:00 p.m. The food there is actually pretty good. They have a healthy menu and you can get doubles on your tray if you get a doctor's order. You also can smoke there if you want to. There are smoke breaks frequently throughout the day where you get to go outside into a nice patio area and smoke. You can also play basketball or join one of the many groups they have available. There is a full nursing staff there and you get to visit with a doctor monthly. They will help you take your medications and make sure your are in good shape. There is also a nice den area where you can watch t.v. The people there are nice and you can find good friends to associate with. Overall this is a very good establishment if you are looking for a nursing home in Illinois. "

"This facility is now Cornerstone. It is absolutely horrible, nothing more than a glorified dog kennel. Our family is in the process of moving our loved one to another facility. When it was St. Clare Home we were very happy with the care our loved one was provided but once Peterson Corporation took over they have absolutely run it and the staff into the ground. They have a continual turnover in staff and rely on agency help, who don't even know the residents' names. A truly sad situation. "

"ATTENTION Do not put your loved ones in this facility. My family had to send my grandmother there and the amount of negligence made my decide to quit my job at a local hospital to take care of her!!!! The staff is rude and very inappropriate "

"My father was at Lutheran Hillside Village for rehab for a month. They call it REACH Short Stay, where he was to receive therapy. The staff very nice and very caring, but there were a few things that were lacking. There were times when I didn't feel that my dad was being attended to as much as he needed. His room was beautiful. His food was pureed. The dining area was beautiful, and there's a lovely fireplace in there. The windows overlook a lovely area that's well landscaped. The tables and chairs were very nice. It was carpeted, very homey, and very nice. They have a walking path that circles the facility because I would see residents walking. The grounds were lovely. The landscaping was beautiful. They were all so nice, but there were just some things that didn't get done. The therapy staff was excellent. The therapy I would give a 5, the rest of them maybe 3 or 4. It's very expensive."

"I toured Apostolic Christian Skylines. It was beautiful scenery. It was not too far outside of town, but it was away from everything. My problem with it was the cost. It was more on the pricey side. Other than that, it was a great place. I like the menu and all that they have to offer. The room was nice. However, for what my father was trying to bring (He's a packrat and he was trying to bring too much), it would have been a little tight. It is ample space for what you need in there. Overall, if I could afford it, it would have been a perfect place. The staff members were very helpful. There were no dumb questions. I didn't feel stupid. No question was illiterate to them. The staff was really friendly. The facility got a little confusing, not so much for me, but my father."

"They are very accommodating at Heartland. They ordered a special bed for my sister-in-law. She also has dietary restrictions, and they've tried very hard to meet those. Everyone has been very pleasant and helpful. She feels that the physical therapy is wonderful, and it's getting good results. The rooms are large. There's one bed per room with a bathroom in-between. They have flat-screen TV's and plenty of storage. It's a nice physical therapy department, and they seem to be doing a great job. She does eat her meals in her room. There's also a dining room, but you have a choice. So in her situation, it was nice to have a choice. "

"My mom moved to Arc at Chillicothe. She had been there before. It was clean, very friendly, and very hospitable. They do bingo and crafts. They do all kinds of stuff. They have a beauty shop and a nail salon. They have people come in, sing, and dance. If she needs to go somewhere, they take her where she needs to go. The staff works with you and keeps in touch."

"Heritage Manor was in the town my mother-in-law was living in. And it's also where most of her friends and her relatives live that would come to visit her. But it wasn't close to us. It was 5 hours away. The place was very nice. It was newly remodeled and the people were extremely friendly. Everybody was doing their job. We had a flurry of people around us when we moved her in. They were just very helpful and very nice. They encouraged her to get up and get walking. She liked the food. I was really impressed with it, especially since it's in a small town. But everything went so fast. Three days later she was back in the hospital where she died. "

"My sister is now in Rosewood Care Center. I feel that she is getting an excellent care. They are on top on every single problem that occurs. Yesterday, they had a 60-day care plan meeting, and since I live up here in Chicago area, I am on speakerphone, so I am part of the meeting. I think I the staff and the facility are excellent. They have a lot of activities. My sister only goes once in a great while, not often, but when she does, she tells me she has a wonderful time. They have bingo. She tells me she is stringing Cheerios and Fruit Loops on this little wired thing, and they are going to put them out for the birds, because for each room, they have a bird feeder, so they can watch the birds. She likes doing that. She says she is doing it with some music playing. They are talking about the music. They have a party -- I think she calls it a Halloween Party -- but it is after dinner last Friday. From what I understand from the CNAs, she participates in singing. They have a van that will take her to any kind of doctor's appointment. My sister is in a wheelchair and has had a stroke, so her whole left side is affected. Then, she falls and breaks her arm in two places, so she is not really mobile. My sister-in-law will prefer her to go in the van, and then my sister-in-law drives and meets her at the doctors. Then, they put her back to the van and bring her back to Rosewood. They have a podiatrist that comes in once a month. She is very happy there. "
