I have been at the Grove for a few months and the majority of people are very very nice. I appreciate the way that many people approach me and help me. I want to thank nurse Sarah and Daisy (nickname) for always helping me when I need. Last, I want to say that I really enjoy recreation as it keeps me busy and I get to socialize with others.

Ava was a great nurse and she took great care of me. I also want to give shout outs to aids, Abdul, Cornelius, Lilly, and Idelia. Brandon and Nathan and everyone work great in the recreation department, and I enjoyed having rich and Patsy in physical therapy. Go team Grove.

Don’t go here! If your family member can’t walk and no family members there to help don’t go! Awful communication everywhere. The nurse supervisor Eva is the worst! Don’t know what medicine they give. Gave my dad oxygen which they did by mistake. I can go on and on. Stay away!

Horrible place. My mother was a resident here. She was there for 1 week , her room was dark and dingy and hot. Never saw too many staff to help out. She blew up with water , rushed to the hospital and died one week later. They have a beautiful lobby , but a horrible facility. Go elsewhere.

Checked in at the front desk, tested for Covid.showed vaccination proof. I was given a gown, protective eye wear and had my own KN95 mask. All required by visitors to the Grove. I proceeded to the room I was visiting. After being in their for 5 to 7 minutes, the aid came in and stated: both patients in the room had Covid!! I spoke with Elliot, supposed administrator, which did absolutely nothing. Doing everything possible to protect myself for over two years, I visited the Grove, and yes 5 days later I tested positive for Covid. Kindly, keep eyes on your loved one if placed here! It’s not to be believed.

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center looked fine. It's clean, but the staff was constantly being turned over and the communication was very poor. You could leave a message for someone on a Friday (for instance to their social worker), not knowing that the social worker was leaving. You would get a completely different social worker and have to start from zero on Monday, and you wouldn't receive that communication that the person was leaving. They would give my father a menu to select from, but he'd never get what he selected. Food was often cold or stale. Also, there weren't any activities.

The staff here at The Grove were compassionate, caring and paid attention to my specific needs. The facility is really nice and clean. The physical therapy was tenacious and very effective, it was what I needed. The communication between the various departments here was good along with communicating well with the medical professionals from the hospital I was discharged from. I was at The Grove for a total of 4 weeks and I leave feeling confident that I can return home safely and navigate my home comfortably. My stay here didn't feel like I was in a hospital. It was peaceful, comfortable and very therapeutic. I give this place a 4 star because there is always room for improvement and I didn't love the food. I arrived expecting it to be what it was, and I wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend The Grove for those needing post hospital medical and rehab services.

Everyone at The Grove was very pleasant and helpful. I was here for two weeks for PT/OT. The food was good and I liked the variety of menus they offered. My therapist Danielle Goldstien and Paltel were really excellent. They were engaging and educational with the sessions. In a short two weeks they got me quickly back on my feet and returned home in great condition. My nurse Eva was very nice and warm and so was my nurse aid Maureen. I even joined a few painting sessions during my stay, it was fun and therapeutic. I certainly recommend this place for post acute rehab.

After having my husband, Alan Cianflone, a patient at other rehab facilities, The Grove has proven to be the best choice. The staff are very upbeat and pleasant with a very high morale. My husband was given TLC in every area and level. The rehab has been the best we’ve experienced, we’ve been to three other facilities. You can tell that staff here really love the work they do. The nursing aids always greated my family and I with a warm smile. The holiday events were very special and lovely, and was great stimulation and fun for my husband. When I had concerns and needs the administration was very responsive and supportive. The facility is clean and beautifully renovated. I can’t thank the entire staff enough for the attentive and loving care they showed to my husband and myself.

This cheery well-lit place is very deceptive. Recently placed a love one at The Grove at Valhalla and so far my experience has been EXTREMELY BAD. Several falls have occurred and overall attention has been poor. They appear to be lackadaisical, short-staffed with limited supplies for patients. They seem to be operating on shoe-string budget for patients (which is very scary). Staff do no follow-through unless you ask multiple times. They are terribly DISORGANIZED with no central person to talk to if there is a problem. I’ve noticed alarm-bells going off for long periods and no one respond. The place is chaotic. You get tossed around to staff members that seem to have NO knowledge of what’s going-on, or able to answer questions with any level of confidence. The employees (at all level) do not follow thorough unless you tell them over-and-over-and-over multiple times. You will receive lots of excuses (as if excuses resolve problems), people are out, people left for the day, etc. Just a mired of excuses why an accident occurred or why a problem was not resolved. Unless you can literally go there every single day for several hours (daily) to be extremely active in the care of your love one, this might not be the place for your love one. The attention to detail is NOT there. I am extremely concerned about my love one's care. This brief time has shown to be Extremely DANGEROUS!

I was a patient at The Grove for sub-acute rehab after each of my knee replacements. Each visit was a few weeks. I had an excellent experience each time. The rehab department helped me recover fast and well. Each time I left feeling strong and confident. It was helpful having Charles and Frank as my primary therapists. I was fortunate to be able to perform most of my daily needs with mild assistance or independently, but when I did need nursing assistance I found many of them to be warm and supportive. The food i'll rate a 9 out of 10. There was enough variety of food menus and was surprised that the food tasted this well. The facility is beautifully renovated and well maintained. I enjoyed participating in the recreational activities, like the current events, music, with wine-and-cheese being the highlight. Overall it was a very satisifying and healing experiecne. There's really nothing to complain about this place. Thank you to all the staff who were very friendly and helpful each of my visits. Highly recommend The Grove.

I had my mother in a different Rehab/Nursing home in NJ which was the worst and had her transferred The Grove at Valhalla and I can not even begin to tell you how wonderful this place is!! As soon as you walk into the facility you can feel the happiness and caring. Everyone that works there loves what they do and are wonderful to my mother. When I put my head on the pillow at night I can sleep, instead of being up all night working about how she is being taken care of. I would recommend this facility to anyone!!! The Social Worker, Aryeh is an amazing person. On top of everything that is going on here and calls you if he needs to inform you or ask you a question. He even gives you his cell phone number! All the nurses and Aides that work there truly care. There is a Doctor on staff who gets to know your loved one, instead of having outside Drs. coming in. I would rate it higher if I could but there are only 5 stars.
