I did not like Crestview Manor ALF at all. As soon as you walked in, the rugs smelled dirty. The facility seemed dirty. The entrance was stacked with wheelchairs with people just sitting around. The rooms were dirty and weren't painted. They had dirty fingerprints and dirt all over the walls. The furniture looked a little beaten. Only one staff looked professional to me. It was terrible. My husband said, "I wouldn't even send that to my worst enemy." I had scheduled an appointment to go see them. When I was supposed to go see them, they called me almost at the last minute to cancel, so they rescheduled. I rescheduled with them and I went up there at the time that it was rescheduled to find out that the person I rescheduled with was still out sick. No one called me to tell me to not come up here because who I'm supposed to see is out sick still. I went up there and nobody was prepared. In a way, I'm kind of glad it did turn out that way because I was able to see how the place looks without them preparing. There was a staff member that was working from the kitchen and he was standing at the back door wide open. He didn't have a hat on, he did not have gloves on, and he had an apron with a t-shirt on, and he was yelling at one of the patients while I was standing there. I don't think he realized that I was a candidate to have my mother there, but he was very rude to that patient. They were not prepared, so I did not see the outdoors nor a gym. The place was very small.
