I am overwhelmed at the love and caring and kindness that they give to my mom and to know how good she’s taken care of when I can’t be close to her is such a wonderful feeling there are some wonderful wonderful ladies that work there who I love very much and I am so thankful for

If you are looking to send your loved one to a place where they can be taken care of, this is not the place for you. Their staff sit around, the food is horrible, they don’t take care of their residents like they should. My relative has not had their nails cut, or hair washed in a year. You can ask them if they could help but they give excuses. Most of the staff don’t want to do their job. This is getting out of hand. Management lie saying they strive to do better and to take care of their elderly. You can say that you are but when you walk into this facility it’s a disgrace. Take your relatives somewhere else where the staff actually want to work rather than sit around and just get payed. This laziness needs to stop. Management needs to stop lying. Your facility SHOULD NOT have a 4 star rating.

Terrible terrible place, rude staff, dirty building, poor management, The food was unappealing and always came late. I wouldn’t recommend sending your loved one there. If I could rate it as zero stars I would.

Today is Sunday. My mother was discharged from Rochester General Hospital on Friday afternoon, arriving at Crest Manor (as a rehab patient) before dinner was served. Less than 48 hours later my brother and I fear for her health and know we need to get her transferred to another facility ASAP. Because of gall bladder issues she's on a low fat diet but was served greasy sausage Friday evening and both bacon and a cheese omelet for breakfast this morning and cheesecake with her lunch. Last night she questioned the medication aide about one of her meds that was to come in the form of 2 pills because only one was brought to her. The aide checked, discovered my mother was correct and brought her the second pill. Had my mother not had the capacity to question the dosage she would have received only 50% of that particular medication. She found Saturday's breakfast and lunch food inedible and just drank the juice and milk provided but was not offered any Boost or alternate food. At dinner yesterday her tray had the name of the previous occupant of her room and the "main course" consisted of cottage cheese and a muffin. Her room is divided and her roommate on the A side has 3/4 of the floor space, leaving my mother just 1/4 - barely room to stand at her walker. When I spoke to the director by phone the day before she was admitted he told me all visitors are given a rapid Covid test before being allowed to enter the building but my brother and SIL were not tested yesterday and a cousin was not tested today. The director of admissions is also the director of rehab and he assured me rehab was offered on weekends but my mother received no rehab on Friday, nor yesterday nor today. My mother was deemed medically ready for discharge to rehab on Thursday and Rochester General insisted she be transferred on Friday so choosing a facility had to be done without a site visit and we relied upon Medicare ratings and facility website descriptions of their services. Crest Manor brags about having a 4-star Medicare rating (it's on the building's signage) but there is clearly something wrong with this rating system - if Crest Manor is 4-star, my heart breaks imagining how people are treated in 1-,2- or even 3-star facilities. PLEASE try to delay discharge until you have time to visit the facility if you find yourself in the position of having to choose a facility for a loved one!

Their license should be revoked! There were many issues regarding my mother's stay at the facility. When I questioned them about the issues, they told me they would look into and get back to me. I'm still waiting - over 1 year! At noon, my mother still wasn't dressed or washed, her sneakers went missing but I was never informed until I found them in the parking lot! Her good luggage was lost and replaced with a zippered bag. Rehab was limited because they wanted her to become a long-term resident. They had her sedated most of the time and made her wait unreasonable amount of time to help her to the bathroom. My mother also had bruises that no one could explain. Even the hairdresser claimed to have given my mother services that never happened. This was during Covid pandemic when family members could only visit through a window. God only knows what else I would have found if I was allowed inside! I filed a complaint with DOH but staff lied!

The facility is poorly run, and the owners care only for the money. The rooms are small and unattractive. The food is terrible, and my dear friend has lost so much weight because so much of the food is inedible. The staff is overwhelmed. She has fallen numerous times, and has been left without clothes on for extended periods of time. Please do you homework, and find a decent place to bring your loved one. I fear ever ending up In a place like this.

My mother stayed here July 2020 until right before she passed in January 2021. This facility is unable to provide appropriate care to someone with advanced stage Alzheimer’s, even though they claimed that they were competent. If your loved one is unable to advocate for themselves I DO NOT recommend you place them here!

My grandmother stayed a Crest Manor a few months back and I cannot speak more highly of the staff on the 2nd floor. The therapy team provided her with tasks that helped her become strong enough to go home. They worked with her every single day to ensure she is safe enough to perform all the tasks necessary to be in her own apartment again. My grandmother called us several times a week to let us know she was going to Bingo and Po-Ke-No with the other residents put on by the activities team. When she first moved in, she had a roommate. After much conversation, my grandmother found out that she and her roommate grew up in the same town! It is nice to hear she was able to connect with some many people at this facility.

Both times my Dad stayed at Crest Manor I was very impressed. The Quality of care has been excellent! The entire staff is always very friendly, kind, and willing to help. Crest Manor has exceeded our expectations and has helped rehabilitate him to where he could return home in a timely manner.

The place has changed in the last couple months and had to remove my mother out due to neglect. Supplies are all over and although the staff are great they can only do so much with the resources they have. I spoke to the new new administrator (They seem to go through a few of them) and he said it is what it is. That is when I decided to remove my mother. Others are complaining as well. They need a visit from the state

A close friend of mine was here for a rehabilitation stay. I do not recommend this facility at all to anyone! It all started when he arrived and had to wait in the hall because someone else was still in his room waiting to be discharged. He was put on the side of the room closest to the door where there was no window. The living space was a size of a postage stamp. The baseboard of the bed was held together with duck tape, the wallpaper was ripped and falling off the wall, the recliner was torn, and the elevator did not work! I was putting my friend in the elevator and the door slammed closed on us. One staff member told me to keep the door open, I had to prop a Wet Floor sign in the door jam because it was broken. Very unsettling. It took over 45 minutes for someone to come to his room to take him to the bathroom. I went to find someone to take him, and I was told that he was not her patient and she couldn't help him. His caretaker came and had the worst attitude stating the facility was short staffed and they would get to him when they could. Unacceptable. Thankful he was only there a short time.

My mother was a resident in 2017 and again this year for rehabilitation. The ownership of this facility changed and it has a whole new feel. It used to be so warm and welcoming, now it's just cold and sterile. I don't feel like the care was the same caliber. Upper management changed, the nurse manager was different, I only recognized two CNAs who told me they were looking for new jobs. It's very disappointing as this facility was a gem in Monroe County. My mother will not be returning.

My wife was at Crest Manor. It was wonderful, and they had excellent services. They had registered nurses, therapists for physical and occupational therapy, physicians assistant, and nurse managers. They had a wonderful laundry, food service, and great accommodation. The whole thing was pretty nice for two weeks. I liked the food, and I ate lunch there every day. Everything was clean, organized, and the food delivery was exceptional. They had activities every afternoon.

We are in Crest Manor. It is really nice. The staff is good, but the rooms are really small. You share a bath with 4 people. The activities are great, and the food is great.

My mom and dad were at Crest Manor as rehab patients. They were there off-and-on for rehab. I wouldn't want to be there. Dealing with them was easy. They're nice people and all, but it's just not a place where I'd want to be because there are a lot of people sitting in the hallways, and it smelled like a nursing home. To me, it's not a place where I want to live. They have exercises, OT and PT, and they have meals, but you can either eat in your room, on your floor, or down on the main dining room. It's like staying in a hospital room. My mother had her room to herself, but she felt very isolated. It's not conducive to what they're charging a month. They charge $12,000 for somebody to stay there. The furniture they gave my dad was falling apart. The doors and drawers didn't open. It was very unfriendly. I know they can't put carpeting in all of the areas, but there's no carpeting in any of the areas. It feels cold. The rooms were not bright and happy.

My mother went to Crest Manor for rehab, she had a fractured pelvis. It was not our first choice from the hospital, but boy am I glad she went there. I can't say enough good things about this place. The therapists that worked with her, and the staff that is employed there, are just wonderful. I had no worries leaving my mother there. She is an 88 year old, who has dementia. I would recommend this place to anyone for any type of rehab, long or short term elderly care. My mother enjoyed the staff and the residence. The care was excellent. The place is clean, staff is caring and they have activities that just about everyone can take part in. Thank you staff of Crest Manor for the excellent care. Friedman family

My dad was with Crest Manor for about 8 weeks. It was a very clean center. The staff was lovely. My only objection was that mentally, there weren't enough peers of my father to be able to keep him mentally stimulated. Most of the people there have greater needs than he did. He had broken his neck and he needed physical therapy and occupational therapy. A lot of the people there had strokes and could not interact with him. After being with Crest Manor, he was able to function on his own again.
