Right now, my father is at Fordham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I haven't been to the facility physically, but the telephone reception that I've gotten is amazing. The social work department there is very caring and very understanding. They ask questions, they were very informative, and I felt at ease with my father going to that facility without me visiting it first. They've called me several times and they've been great. My father says that he likes the people there and they are communicating with him, and he feels like a person there, he feels better there. They told me that they have an activity coordinator that will go to the rooms and will come in and take my father when there are activities, so he will be reminded regularly. They told me that they offer a lot of activities. They have bingo, they have cards, and they play music. They've told me there are a lot of things that my father will be able to do while he's there. They also told me that they will keep me informed of anything moving forward regarding my father. So that alone for me, it's great. It's awesome.
