The physical therapy at Hamilton Grove Healthcare and Rehabilitation was excellent. The downfall was that the food was terrible. The staff depended on which shift you got and how well they were attentive. Some nurses wouldn't let aides help until they went in a particular order down the hallway. I thought that they were understaffed with the aides. Some were very good. Others were a bit rough. My loved one raves about the PT that she had there, and they were just great. It was a single room. She was in there for a broken shoulder, and the problem there was that they were not attentive to making sure that she had her call button accessible to her. At one point, they're like, "We have to take your glasses from you," but she needs to have her cell phone with her at all times and her glasses. The facility needs to be spruced up. It's like being stuck in the 1980s. The beds weren't very comfortable. Our hairdresser is happy with them, but her mother is more active and she would participate in bingo and different things, and she would go to the dining hall. They were having food delivered to the clients there. They offered a menu that you could pick from, which was good, but half the time you didn't get what you ordered.

Rooms are adequate and clean. Staffing is poor, especially nights and weekends - good people, but too few and too big of a load. Pain management is limited - non-exisitent. Physical therapists were great, but without pain managment, less effective. Doctor was often unavailable and clueless about symptoms.

Everything in here is good, al the people are good, they are kind. The nurses, cleaning ladies, social worker and people from therapy are the best. I'm excited to go home but I'm sad to leave everyone behind.

I wanted to give 10 stars! I think everybody is wonderful and I wish I could take them home with me. My social worker was wonderful in helping every way she could. If it were anywhere else I'd be fighting to go home. This is a place I'd recommend if anyone needs therapy. Everybody is helpful here and that makes a big difference.

I rated Hamilton Grove with 5 stars because the physical therapy and occupational therapy here uses strategic methods specifically geared to each person's needs. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always accommodates whatever you ask for. I highly recommend this facility to everyone! They are exceptional!!! I would personally use this facility again in the future if I (God forbid) needed another hip replacement. The physical/occupational therapy is the best of the best!
