My aunt is in Independence Manor At Hunterdon. The people there are so caring, so professional, and so nice. It is a nice place, and it is very clean. They have an outdoor courtyard, and it's just kept well. The activities are really great for the seniors there. They have people come in and dance or perform. They have bingo quite often. They have trivia games where they all get together in the common area and they have trivia contests. They have movies and it's just really nice. Everyone seems to enjoy the dining room; it is beautiful. And my aunt never complains about the food. The staff is wonderful. They are always helpful, even the nurses that are on the floor. There are 2 floors, and each floor has a nurse, and they're always eager to talk.

I have been in Independence Manor Hunterdon and it's all assisted living. I went there two weeks ago and I've worked hospice, so I've been there in that capacity. I have been a hospice volunteer and sometimes they would send me to Independence Manor. It looks clean. They have several sitting areas for residents to relax, do puzzle activities, or watch movies or TV. They have a dining room that families can reserve for special occasions. They have different levels of rooms, from studio to two-bedroom. They have library shelves with many books and a puzzle room. They have some areas where they have birds in cages. The staff who assisted me was lovely. She answered all our questions and was very willing to spend time with us. I know that they have a lovely dining room and three meals a day. I looked at the menu and it looked good. There's fish, meat, and all that. I know that they have activities because I saw the activity schedule. They have chair yoga, tai chi, bingo, and spiritual offerings for different denominations. There seemed to be quite a bit to choose from. I've only seen a few assisted living places. I'm sure many are very, very glamorous and newer, but this one was not shabby. It was clean and nicely decorated.

We are on the waitlist for my mom at Independence Manor At Hunterdon. They are very accommodating. We like them. The facilities seemed nice. The proximity to where I live is much better than a lot of the other places. It is a little pricier, but there is a trade-on. They have 1-bedrooms and studios. The 1-bedroom has a small living area and a dedicated bathroom. The staff members seemed knowledgeable, professional, and upbeat about their community. The place is clean and well cared for.

Independence Manor was not really that big. They had a lot of good activities like crafts, and they have buses to take the residents downtown. The food was also really good. They had an exercise room, a hairdresser, a physical therapy room, and they also have a special unit for Alzheimer's patients with a locked ward. A lot of groups come in to sing and bring in church services or programs. They had a big Grandparent's Day and a very nice musical band that came for that.

Good recommendation and it was close by was the reason why we chose Independence Manor for my mom. She has been there almost a month now. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is okay and the facility itself is beautiful. She has a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette. Mom plays bingo and scrabble. She also goes to concerts there.

My mother lives in this assisted living facility and she seems to love it. They take care of her every need. Lots of other residents her age that she plays bridge with and does all sorts of activities with. They even take her shopping every few weeks. As a visitor they make things quite pleasant. Her room is cheery and furnished with her own furnishings. The common areas are always clean and neat. The menus are always nice and my mother enjoys the food.

My mother, who is a widow, has lived at this assisted living facility for the past two years. She suffered a stroke about two years ago and was no longer able to live in her home which has a number of staircases. She was scheduled for a hip replacement, but had the stroke two weeks before the scheduled surgery, making the surgery now impossible. Living at the assisted living facility has given her new friends and many activities she would not be able to participate in if she still lived in her home. She is always busy with her bridge games and activities in the great room. When I want to visit it is very friendly and not a problem. Her rooms are nice and the staff helps her keep it clean. She eats all her meals in the dining room and enjoys the food very much. This is quite a complement coming from my mother as she used to own a restarunt! Over all it was sad when she had to leave her home, but I really beleive she is much happier where she is living now and better taken care of than she would have been alone at home.

Cheerful beautiful setting. many different options for interaction or gathering outside of the rooms. Rooms had nice natural light. Services for medical care are well organized. Overall it was very impressive.
