"I would give Brookdale Las Vegas a high rating from what I've seen. It's very organized, clean, thoughtful, and intentional with how they care for patients, especially those with dementia. It's beautiful and very professional with how they run everything. The staff was great with the assistance during the tour. The common area was good, but they could have used more television, couches, and a little more space."

"My brother will be moving into Desert View Senior Living. I showed up at dinnertime, and dinner smelled delicious. The facility was very clean. The residents were so nice and friendly. It just seems to be like a community where they kind of help each other out as well. There are lots of activities to keep people busy during the day, so they're not just sitting around watching T.V. or something. We looked at a little studio apartment. It's kind of like one big room with a divider. There's a small bedroom in the back, a living area at the front, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. There's also a walk-in shower with a seat, so they can just walk in and sit down. The staff was great. He was helpful and answered all my questions. The meal is cooked to order. They can order whatever they want for breakfast that's on the menu. It was like a restaurant."

"Mom is now living in Monarch Group Home for Senior Citizens. I actually looked at six places, and I could say that this communuity is great. I am very impressed with the staff. They have three certified nurses and helpers everytime I was there. They were up and talking to each other. They also have nice rooms with bed, chairs, and tv in it. They serve good food in a beautiful dining room. With all the activities that they have, the residents seem to be having fun. "

"This group home is wonderful. Choosing to move my husband into a care facility was tough. I felt guilty, but his worsening dementia became too much for me to manage alone. I explored different homes and larger facilities, but Serenity Living felt like the best choice. I chose a shared room which was big and comfortable. The owner, Allyn, was very patient and supportive during the entire process. I was especially impressed with caregivers Alma and Priscilla, who were attentive and kind. I appreciated that Serenity Living allowed visits at any time, so I could see my husband whenever I wanted, without needing an appointment. They also tailored his meal plan based on his preferences and time frame. The food was decent, and he seemed to enjoy it. Overall, this place is A+."

"My mom stayed here. They were so incredibly nice. The nurses were fantastic. If my mom had been in better shape, this would have been a dream place. My mom was really sick, and they were watching her very closely. Then they called 911 and got her to the hospital. She had a nice room, and it was just perfect for her. It had a bed, a sofa, a television, and a nice, big bathroom with a walk-in shower so they could help her. They were also so kind. They brought my mom to the dining room on the first day where different people came to sit with her and meet with her so that she could get to know the people there. A lady came down to her room to see her. My mom really felt like it was a great place. She was really happy for just that short time. The staff members were amazing, especially Cendrene. We spoke to a lot of people, and she was just wonderful. Everybody was so good. My mom is legally blind, and they had a reading room where somebody read books to them. They had entertainment brought in either once or twice a week. Every week they brought in live entertainment. They do casino trips and all kinds of trips."

"I toured Serenity Living at Mountains Edge. The facilities were very well maintained. The staff was very professional, and it was a good fit because it felt like a good home where she would be cared for. She wasn't just going to be another person in a room. They seemed well-educated and trained in memory care. They had just remodeled, and it looked like a brand-new house."

"My Mother currently lives at Oaky Assisted Living. The owner Phil and the staff there are incredibly caring and work hard to make sure the facility is the best. The rooms are very nice and the food is great! They plan fun activities that residents enjoy and look forward to. I highly recommend the facility."

"We choose Desert Spring particularly because of the cost. It's much cheaper than the other facility. The most important thing of all is that my dad can be safe and pretty much I think he's in a good place to live. Although he really doesn't know much better because he has dementia so he's happy not to be living on the street to be quite honest. But if there's one thing they can improve is to have a more interaction with the residents because they really don't have much activities. They have bingo once in a while. "

"So far, Charleston Residential Care Hotel has been OK. Mom has only been there a few days. She has a shared room; it’s big with a bathroom. It used to be a hotel they converted into an assisted living, so they have suites. It is a good size, and it’s affordable for her. They go out to some of the local casinos. They go to Wal-Mart and Target. They have things like bingo and some other game they play as well as some church services and communion for Catholic people. "

"Our visit to TLC convinced us that it was a caring and well maintained facility with a compassionate owner. Everything was clean; there was no smell of disinfectants; the staff was very pleasant, and there were 3 staff members for 10 patients. Meals were prepared onsite and served to patients in a pleasant dining room. My sister spent 2 months there, bedridden with numerous medical issues before passing away. She was well cared for, and each time we heard someone enter her room, they were always pleasant and greeted her by name. There were monthly events for all residents, the opportunity to sit in a pleasant backyard (well fenced) whenever patients wanted, and group meals so residents could get to know each other. Because she was bedridden, my sister couldn't take part in daily activities but before she weakened, the staff got her into a wheelchair to sit outside for some time. The room had a window that looked out onto a tree, which made her happy, and Dora offered to put up family photos. On her birthday, she received balloons and birthday greetings from the staff that meant a lot to her. Dora, the owner, found a more nutritious formula for her feeding tube, which we all appreciated. Although her stay was short, my sister said she felt safe there. We were very pleased with her care and highly recommend TLC, Dora, and the staff."
