My mother loves being at the assisted living! She was living at home and alone all day. Her granddaughter would pick her up and cook dinner for her and take her back home. My mother loves being there because of the good food they cook, the actives she's doing are great, she likes the coloring, the concerts and the pets are great for her as well one more thing she loves the baths! The workers are amazing with her and that fills my heart with joy that she is taken such good care of. It's a small community which is perfect for her. They also have church service which is a blessing as well. Thank you to Janine for lifting the burden of my mom living alone. She's with people all day and when she wants she can go to her own room and watch television. I talk to my mom daily and she is happy to be living at Havelock Manor.

I went to Havelock Manor. The staff was very friendly. The facility was clean. The director, she knows what she's doing. My opinion is that the rooms are kind of small if I'm being honest. And the facility is kind of small. If it worked out, he would have gone there. Each room didn't have its own private bathroom and that was a negative for my dad. The staff was top-notch, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. You can get around quite well, but the hallways were narrow. It was just a small facility.

I visited Havelock Manor, which was very nice. It was a small, tight-knit community. Janine, the woman I worked with, was very helpful and I felt like it was a very homey and warm place. There were several people in the common area together, and they seemed to be communicating with one another like a family. The room was kinda small, but it had a nice television, a nice chair, and a nice bed. It's perhaps a little dated, but clean. They had personalized snacks if somebody wanted something to eat, and they make their food from scratch. I saw puzzles and they have a companion animal there, which I found to be a very positive thing.

We did a tour of Havelock Manor. The best I like about it is it's very comfortable and smaller than most other places. I think they only had 23 units in there. As far as the lease goes, that would be just the distance from my house. I'm on the opposite side of town. It would be good for my stepmother. The only reason why we didn't go with them, is they had a complicated system for charging us. They had tiers, and they brought tears to your eyes to listen to it. So, the new place that we went to had none of that, it was all fixed price, and everything is taken care of. The staff seem to be caring, seemed to know what she was talking about, and seemed to be there all the time. She said she'd been there 20 years. Havelock Manor was the favorite. If they wouldn't have had such an unusual pricing thing, where there were all these tiers of different charges, we probably would have gone with them.

I went to Havelock Manor. It was small, home-like, the people were all really friendly. I like the idea that they have a lot of activities going on every day for the people that stay there. It's clean. The rooms are a little bit small. When you walk in, they have a great room or something where the TV is, sofa seating, and the dining area is off to the side. They bring the food right to your table individually. That's right straight through the kitchen there, it's not out of carts or anything. They have a beauty shop, and I know they do exercise daily. We weren't there while they were serving food, but they do have choices every day. If it's not enough, you get seconds.

We toured Havelock Manor for my mother, and it is good. What we like is it's close to where we are and where we live. They have a lot of activities for her, and they have nice therapy rooms. The staff seemed really friendly. When we were there, we saw a lot of people moving out and about. The place looked more like a little housing complex. They have stores in there, and they have a movie theater. The only thing was the rooms were small, but I think we are just figuring out that you really don't need a lot of room. You are not going to move all your household stuff, and it is more or less a bedroom. The staff who accommodated me was really helpful. The facility was nice, clean, and well kept.

Mom was in assisted living at Havelock Manor for only one month before she died, but during that time she received excellent care. The food is delicious, the facility is clean, but most importantly, the staff cares about the residents. My interactions were mostly with Randi, Alisha, and Janine, but every staff member I met worked very hard to make the residents comfortable, safe, engaged in activities, and feel genuinely cared about. Randi was instrumental in helping me feel closure and at peace the last night of Mom's life.

We feel such gratitude to the staff of Havelock Manor for the care they gave our mother in the last months of her life. It was a hard decision when she had to move to assisted living. Failing health had landed her in another facility for a short term stay and she was always displeased with the food and the staff. Havelock Manor turned out to be a perfect fit. She was not always the easiest to get along with, but the staff genuinely cared about, as well as for her. In no time she talked about them as if they were old friends. They ran errands for her, visited her in the hospital on their own time and it meant the world to her. Whenever we checked to see if she needed help with anything it was always, " No, Matt took care of it. " Terrific, real food! No reheated processed or frozen crap. She invited her family to have dinner with her for what ended up being her final birthday and the staff made it a beautifully special day, with such grace and kindness, on top of all their regular duties. Yes, the rooms seem small, but that was never a concern for her. Everything is clean and we'll maintained. The common area is comfortable and inviting and not as lonely. She enjoyed the variety of activities and appreciated transportation to her Dr. appointments. We took great comfort and relief in knowing she was so happy and well cared for and would recommend Havelock Manor to anyone needing to make the transition to assisted living.

Havelock Manor was a beautiful community, but the rooms were extremely small. You have your bedroom, living quarters, and dining room. The staff was very friendly, informative, and very good. They have an activity going on every day. They're right next to the senior center down in Havelock. They have a van that can take people to appointments. It's very nice and very well kept. They have a community library, church services, and a med aide that gives out the medications.

My mother was a resident in Havelock Manor for 1yr 8mos, she recently passed away in hospice at Havelock Manor, before she lived in Havelock Manor, I was her caregiver at her home in the Havelock area, It got to the point I could no longer adequately care for her, so we looked for a assisted living place, we went to a few places, but she already knew residents in Havelock Manor, so I she decided she wanted to go to Havelock Manor. I would visit her most everyday that she was there, and so did my siblings, Her room and herself was always clean, the nursing and support staff gave her excellent care, and at a affordable rate, compared to other nursing facilities, even I would live there if or when needed, the food they prepare is delicious, especially on holidays, they make family members feel very welcomed in a homey atmosphere, I will miss their annual family picnic, that was always fun and delicious food. The director of Havelock Manor Jeannine, is vey proactive in the residents health concerns and issues, Medically I trust her judgement, she advised us when my mother needed to go to the hospital, and we would take her, it was never a false alarm, she needed to go when Jeannine advised it. Havelock Manor made it easier for us when it came to the care of our mother, I could sleep at night easier, knowing that she was in excellent hands at Havelock Manor. Thank You to the caring staff at Havelock Manor I really, really appreciated it Sincerely, Lee Ninneman

As a Registered Nurse I have found the staff of Havelock Manor to be very caring, knowledgeable and patient with our family member. They address any questions or concerns we have in a very timely matter. We love the homelike atmosphere and personal attention the facility and staff provide. The facility is always neat and clean. The food is excellent with residents being given options for breakfast with a flexible time. Group and individual activities are provided to meet individual resident needs. The administrator always takes time to visit with residents and family members. I would highly recommend this facility.

My mother has lived in this facility for almost 5 years. We were looking for a smaller facility and it has been great. The direct care staff are caring and efficient. The food is very good and they are always willing to substitute menu items if mom doesn't like something. Moms room and the commons areas are always neat and clean. The administrator is professional and has been very helpful when we have had problems. Three months ago we moved my mother in law into the same facility and her health has improved dramatically. I Would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a smaller caring environment.

The person who wrote the review on March 19, 2014 is not telling the truth my mom has been their for 4 years and their has never been roaches, or bed bugs in their. If you want the truth about anything look up on Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services web site this assisted living is deficiency free and the administrator is amazing and is so nice and easy to talk to. She truly cares about me and my mother she makes us both feel we matter.

I found Havelock Manor on my own and they are doing wonderful care. Everything is absolutely wonderful and I've referred three other people to them since. It's a small living environment, very personable. The friends that I've referred have family members with dementia and it's a nice environment. It is secured, very homey, and they don't feel like they are locked up inside a cage. Excellent activity program, home-cooked meals, I am very happy with it.
