"I had an in-person tour of The Parkway Senior Living. They had awesome activities for the residents. It's a beautiful facility. All of the people I met, the staff, and the other residents I met were extremely nice and caring. It was just way outside of our price range. The menu was very varied. It was like it would cater to anybody's needs."

"My dad has moved into Solstice Senior Living at Lee's Summit. The staff is just awesome. They help you in any way possible. They are very welcoming. They were willing to not only show me, but willing to wait until my sister flew in a couple of days later, and gave me another tour with my sister. They actually offered us to taste their food. Their price is perfect. For everything that they offer, I find it actually cheaper than other places. Even before I had decided, they called a few times just to know how my dad was doing, so they were very pleasant and very wonderful to work with. The facility is beautiful. For activities, they have different events. The location is very close to me, so I can be with my dad whenever I want. I notice how well the employees treat their residents there, so that also made me decide. I wanted to work with somebody that actually showed they care about the people that are going to live there."

"Our Lady of Mercy will forever be my first recommendation to anyone in the KC area asking about Assisted Living. We moved my grandma there after she was neglected at another facility. The difference in care, culture and community at Our Lady of Mercy was such a breath of fresh air. The staff care so deeply for the residents and treat them like members of their own family. The community of residents is vibrant and fun. This is a special place and the staff here should be so proud of the hard work they do to provide love and dignity to those that deserve it most."

"The Ashton on the Plaza was very nice. The location is great because it's in the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. The inside of the building is pretty new. It's made for assisted living really. The only thing about it is that the cost is really pretty high and I didn't feel that my friend would be able to afford that. It was a great place. The food was wonderful. The staff that I met was nice. The rooms were very nice. They were roomy enough. It was very attractive. They were different as far as the floor plan was concerned. They had one- and two-bedrooms. One of the things that I think was really good is that they invited us to come out for a visit, even if my friend was in the hospital. As a friend, I could come out and look and see the place so I could be able to tell her my experience. They also offered and came to pick me up to take me there and bring me back home. I had lunch with them, that's why I know that the food was good. The dining area was very nice. It was not as large, but certainly large enough to comfortably seat all of the residents that they would have."

"I tour St Anthony's; I like they have all levels of care, The views from the apartments were beautiful and spotless. The food is incredible. the activities and exercise were great always had residents busy. The staff was so friendly and nice."

"I toured The Princeton Senior Living. It was clean. They had some activities, but there were just not as many people there. I was impressed with the place, but I just wanted a place that had good quality food and more people, so that there's more interaction with people every day. They were just smaller and the cost was cheaper, too. The tour was nice and the guy I talked to was also nice, and they served three meals a day."

"Armour Oaks Senior Living was a nice place. They have nice apartments. I haven't tried their food, but I saw some of it and it looked really good. They have a lot of activities and it would be a good place for my brother. It was a nice visit. They did a good job. I think their floor plans were pretty much the same. Each room has what they call a sunroom, which is a place where a person can go and just kind of relax a little bit. That was very nice. I looked at a one-bedroom. I think it's a good place. I'm going to take my brother there and let him look at the place himself. It's not perfect, but it's nice."

"Armour Oaks Senior Living was great and well-kept. Everybody was friendly. The staff member was really helpful and answered my questions. The room was spacious and clean. They look like they keep the place up with the maintenance and everything. The dining room was really clean."

"My mom has moved into The Oxford Grand Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like them. I had toured that place about a year ago, and it was my favorite, but I went to a different place. The nurse that was here then is still here now. To me, that means quite a bit because the place I had her at, just had a constantly rotating staff and people would quit all the time. That says something pretty good about them if they have the same people that were there over a year ago. They are in constant communication with me. These people call me all the time, and they give me updates on everything, I'm pretty happy so far. I think my mom likes it. In the other place, she was always back in her bed, all day, every day. Here, every time I've been in to see her, she's always out in the room with the other people. That makes me happy, and she seems to be happy. It's situated like the rooms are around the perimeter, then they have like a central area. It's not very big, so they're always close to the staff, which is very nice. Her room looks out onto the garden, I think all the rooms have a window, so her room looks out onto the garden and the bird feeders and everything, which is nice. She just has a studio room with her own bathroom. It's small because memory care is divided into two units. They just all sit around the same table and eat. They have a centralized kitchen area, kind of like a bar, where they can go sit there, too. It's just really kind of cozy. She's only been there a limited amount of time. I know they do outings, but she hasn't been on one yet. It's been below zero here, it's been freezing. They have trails all around it if somebody wants to go out and walk the trails, and they have their own garden. If I want to take her out of memory care, they have a nice central area with a piano, a kitchen, refrigerators, and stuff like that. I'm really happy, I think it's a beautiful spot. They have possibly a storm drain, but it looks like a creek and looks like a natural area just right beside it. We can go out there in the summer when it warms up."

"My wife will be moving into The Village at Mission. We chose it, because of the facility's capabilities, the people, the overall appearance, and the feeling that it's well managed. The people we met were all very friendly and helpful. Their dining area was very spacious. They have everything that she will need such as a physical therapist to work with her."

"After researching and visiting several assisted living/memory care facilities, we moved my mother with Alzheimer's to Trustwell Living Mission Springs nearly 9 months ago. We have been very pleased. As Mom's condition has changed, it has been easy to work with both executive and direct care staff to make changes in her care plan. We visit frequently and have never arrived to find anything concerning. The apartment is very adequate with enough space and privacy. The common areas are kept very clean and orderly. Though there have been some staff transitions, there are always some activities during the day. Mom is very comfortable with her care staff, and they relate to her very well. The community is not enormous, and this has been a benefit. The surroundings are open and floor plan simple. Even though Mom is often confused, she has been able to navigate her surroundings without too much difficulty. Mostly, we just appreciate the staff. They are ever present and communication is very good."
