My grandmother stayed there for 3 years, up until recently. While she was there, we had issues. Medication schedules were regularly messed up, we had to remind staff to even do the laundry (For ex, laundry day - only once a week - would be Tuesday, we'd come by Wednesday and see dirty laundry still in the baskets. There were times we even had to take it to do ourselves.) Food was good sometimes, and when it was good, it was good! But the staff turnover was so high, they would often explain that they had to put random workers in the kitchen bc the kitchen staff didn't show up! Lots of soggy sandwiches and old leftovers were served at times. Staff and leadership were defensive. During that 3 year stint, we saw leadership turnover 3 times, each with almost brand new staff. Outside of those 3 times, staff turnover was still high. By the time we'd get to know someone and establish a routine, they'd be fired and it would be someone new. This may just be the industry, so I'm leaving 2 stars and not just 1. Never had a person in a facility. But with the high price point, I expected something much better.

We toured The Blake at Flowood. There was a new person that was touring it, but she was very kind and very knowledgeable. We had a great tour. The facilities were very nice. The difference was the roommate situation. The rooms were not divided. It was kind of like a dorm room. They have a courtyard. They also allow pets, which the other place does not. If you are still able to care for your pet, you can have a dog or whatever. They also have an exercise room and a place where you can go get manicures and get your hair done.

We did a tour of The Blake at Flowood. It was beautiful and spacious. The staff was very welcoming and kind. We ate a meal there, and it was very good. They had a good menu. The chef was very kind, he came over to the table and talked to us. We got a very good tour with all the amenities and all the things that they had to offer. It looked like a very nice place. The person who took us around was amazing. She was so kind, so knowledgeable, very thorough, and good with follow-up. I enjoyed being with her so often, her name's Annabel.

I like The Blake at Flowood much better than the others. It's very beautiful, brand new, had floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, big wide hallways, lots of light, and is very modern. The person that showed us around was awesome, very friendly, and took a lot of time to sit down with us and talk to us. The dining area was nice, too. It felt very vibrant and fun. I didn't come out of there feeling sad. It was a very fun, lively dining area with big windows overlooking the courtyard. It had a bistro feel to it almost. They had a beauty salon, fitness room, and activities.

The Blake at Flowood had very friendly staff. The place had lots of outdoor areas and it was very clean, but just very small. I didn't see any nurse's stations or any nurse on duty when I was there. They had a beauty shop, physical therapy, and the dining area was nice.

The Blake was closer to where we live and more convenient for us. It is a newer facility that is very nice, and we’ve been very pleased with it. The staff has been very helpful, and they serve three meals a day. I do not have any problems whatsoever.
