I visited Oak Meadows. Kim is the lady that I met with, and she was so accommodating and answered every question. She gave us a really good tour and was able to point out the positives. They have an optional meal plan; you can get it or you don't. The layout is super convenient. It combines both independent living and the assisted living for certain activities. You have a cross-section of people involved. The layout is very sensible and the facility itself is beautiful. They have three units: independent, assisted living, and then the regular nursing home. That was the only one that I visited. I thought it was affordable.

We love Oak Meadows. My mother likes the size of the bathrooms, the way the kitchen is laid out, the view out the window of the woods, and the staff. I haven't heard anything negative. She likes the food. It's the most reasonable place if we want to have lunch with her.

I thought that Oak Meadows was really nice from the moment I walked in. The staff member that assisted me was very friendly and inviting, and the head nurse for assisted living made time for me right away even though I didn't have an appointment.

Oak Meadows is the one we settled on. The overall impression was very good. The dining area is very nice. I like it. It is in a very nice location situated off the freeway, so there's not a lot of noise. It is right across the street from a golf course. Everybody seemed very helpful. The cost is average.

Oak Meadows is an older facility -- like 13 or 14 years old. It's very nicely kept-up, but when we went in, for us, it had more of a nursing home feel. There was equipment in the hallways. They had independent living, assisted living, and memory care, but it was more nursing home type. The rooms were kind of smaller, older, and darker.

Thanks so much for stopping out to visit. We are actually 18 years old and had a remodel in 2015. We decided at that time to go with a darker carpet in the apartments as this is what the tenants wanted from a survey we did. If there was equipment in the hallway, it was probably because someone from our homecare was using it with one of our tenants. Thanks for bringing this to our attention though. We have never been a nursing home. And people actually comment on how wide and brightly lit our hallways are.
We have a wonderful reputation in the community for providing excellent care. So even though we are an older building, you will find our staff are amazingly caring and want your loved one to feel safe and taken care of. Thanks for taking the time to review us. We appreciate it!

Oak Meadows felt that my mom needed a little more care than what they had. The rooms were big. They were regular apartment building-type things, so it wasn’t what I was looking for.
