"I moved to Bay Harbor of River Falls. It's wonderful. All the people that live there are very nice, and they have wonderful activities every day. I enjoy it very much. The food is excellent. Yesterday, we had music in the afternoon and bingo. The dining area, they're remodeling it right now, and it's very clean and very nice. I like my room very much. They send somebody in once a week for 15 minutes to do the floors, the sink, and the bathroom."

"My sister-in-law is in Ecumen. Our experience with the facility is excellent. The surroundings and the rooms are very good. There is one bedroom and bath. They are in good size, but they are not super big. They have nice staff. They have activities, but I wish there were more. My sister-in-law is happy there. "

"I visited, it was a really good tour. They were friendly, informative, and it was a very positive place. I enjoyed the spaces and the apartments were nice. They have a lot of activities, a lot of opportunities, and access to stuff that I felt was great. That it was connected to Edinborough Park, was also really nice. In terms of amenities, they had everything and it was kind of state of the art."

"Our family is newly introduced to Havenwood. My elderly parents only moved there a month ago. But just in the few short weeks they have been transitioning them into their new wonderful home at Havenwood The providers and staff at Havenwood continue to demonstrate that we made the right choice! The staff is kind and consodetate, professional and experienced. Each time I've been there is just reinforced. The decision made to bring my parents here for this chapter in their life. We are blessed!"

"There are a lot of good things about Copperfield Hill. What I liked the best was, that the neighborhood that it's in has access to an outside lake and trees in the neighborhood. I also liked all the things that it offered, and the variety of care levels it offered. There's nothing that I would think they need to improve. It's just a very large community. There are a lot of people that live there, so that was a little overwhelming at first. I also went and visited during the morning, which is a busy time. Otherwise, it's quiet. The tour was professional and I learned a lot of information. The woman that gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, on task, on time, answered all the questions and gave a lot of information. They had a plethora of things. It's close to family members, and it's near hospitals, shopping, banking, and entertainment."

"We chose Covenant Living of Golden Valley. We liked how happy everyone was, the involvement of people in the community, and the interactions that people had with each other. The residents were just interactive, happy, and welcoming. It just depends which room you get. Some have laundry, some don't, and it depends on the size of the room. But one thing about them, there's a buy-in option, but you can redecorate your room how you want it before you move in."

"I toured the Chapel View Senior Health & Living Senior Living Community. I like the fact that I could get assisted care, and I also like the fact that there's a wide range of people. The rooms were nice, clean, and well-kept. The staff who gave the tour was nice. She answered the questions that we had. They have some activities, but I don't know them all."

"The rooms are older and small. The care is moderately good. The biggest complaint is that we purchased new comfortable clothing for him and within a week all but one item we purchased “disappeared” never to be seen again. They also “lost” a sweatshirt that was very dear to him. It is obvious that they randomly distribute clothing to other patients as we often arrived and he was wearing items that were not his own. I would be very wary of this place."

"We moved here in December and are thrilled with our decision. We were welcomed warmly by the other residents and made to feel at home right away. The building is solid, safe, quiet, and very well maintained. The grounds are just beautiful and kept up daily. A smile will get you in anywhere here. An in-house TV station keeps you updated on what's going on daily. I love that they have a well-stocked (by the residents) art & crafts room, a woodworking shop (with a resident who has helped a lot by making and fixing some of my furniture), a knitting room where they make lovely items to donate to charity. A beauty shop, wonderful exercise classes for women and men, and even a little store run by our volunteers opened 3 mornings a week. Games, games, and more games going on all the time. A bus for those who don't choose to drive. And wonderful programming with activities on campus and off regularly. I love having dinner delivered to our apartment at a reasonable price so I don't have to cook every day. Love eating lunch in the beautiful atrium. I'd be more than happy to take you on a tour before you meet our outstanding rental agent if you would like. I love showing our home off to everyone. "Elim Shores is a great option for families looking for a warm, kind, and personable community. My mom lived there for 18 months and I only moved her recently for closer proximity to me on the other side of town. We found the campus super easy to navigate and not so huge that she couldn't find her way around. She loved the friends she made, and the staff worked together to make it fun. They actually knew all of their residents personally, and could help a family see if there were any needs that a family member may have. The pricing for an Eden Prairie facility is excellent. Many facilities have become so cost prohibitive, it makes it hard on a family estate. The location is easily accessed, yet very peaceful on a lake. The staff really made it a great environment with a sense of positive community. That always comes from the management on down, and Chris worked hard to create "fun" for the residents. The activity options were great, and Becky the activity director is pure joy. We are very thankful as a family to have places that we can customize help for our mom. Elim Shores was a big help in our being able to accomplish that. "

"I looked at three apartments at Havenwood of Minnetonka. I visited primarily for independent living, but I was looking for continuous care going forward. For me, it's in a very good location. There's a grocery store, there's a bank, there's a hardware store, and there are restaurants. It's just very, very convenient for me who is accustomed to living on the western edge of Minneapolis. The first impression when you walk in is that it is a new building. It's very clean and it's tastefully decorated in the public areas. The apartments are smaller compared to what I'm living in now, but I'm ready to accept that in the future. I only met with two people. I met with one who gave me the tour and then the gal who was at the front desk. They're very accommodating and answered all my questions, plus they gave me more information, not just what I'd asked about."

"Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge had a really beautiful dining area. Everything was centrally located. So, there's the a chapel area and they also had a pool table. The atmosphere was very homey, and comforting, and they seemed to have a good care team. They talked about their nursing care while the other places didn't. I liked their meal program. Some places do a la carte where you just pay every day, but they have a monthly plan where you can pick one meal. Another thing I liked about it was that independent living and assisted living were not separate. The apartments I looked at were good. The salesperson I interacted with was wonderful. He has also reached out to me several times afterward when I've had questions and he's very quick to get back. The only thing I did not like was the laundry was not inside the units."

"Mom is at Woodbury Villa. The place is very clean. The staff is very friendly. The residents all look out for each other. If you have concerns, they handle those very quickly. I have not tried the food, but I know that there are lots of complaints about it. One of the things I like most about them is the activities. The person behind this program is fantastic. Her name is Sam. There's always stuff going on, and she does a great job. She has an assistant, Melissa. Their price is very good. One thing I don't like about them, though, is that there's been a lot of turnover. The people are all great, but that's just been a little difficult. You get to know somebody and then they're gone."
