I liked the independent living aspect of Harrison Bay Senior Living. They had nice apartment units. The entire building was kept up nicely. It had a little pub downstairs and a coffee shop. In the restaurant, you could order off the menu or have a daily special. One meal a day was included in the price. Somebody on staff 24/7 was available. It was more of walking into an apartment or a condo rather than a nursing home. I only did a walk-through with a member of the management. She was very informative about additional care and how you never have to leave your home as you need additional care. They would just provide that an at additional cost. There were plenty of activities to do to get the residents out of their units and socialize. The location was extremely important for me. It was in a nice small-town atmosphere and the grounds were very pretty. It was just less than a mile to a grocery store.

I like Harrison Bay Senior Living. It's a little bit bigger than the last two we toured. I wish it was closer, but I like it. The staff were azing. The person who gave me the tour was great. She answered all my questions. She showed me everything that I want to see. It was great. I got nothing bad to say about them. They were awesome. The rooms were small, but they were nicely appointed and well-maintained. I have them on my list as a possibility. They have more residents. They're doing some kind of game or something in the common area. There are probably at least 23 residents in there participating, and I love that. It's a big place. Everybody was engaged. They were having a great time and it was so loud, but I loved it. Whatever they were doing, they got them up and around, and that's the kind of thing I would like for my in-laws. I think that would be important for them to have that. It was very welcoming and very open. I very much like the layout. It was all great.
