"The Haven at Peace Villa is just a really unique care facility. My brother is very content there. They take care of him very well. They take care of them like they really are concerned. I just liked that about that place. They have a real personal interest in each one of their clients over there. I've seen a big change in my brother since he has gotten there. He had a stroke to start that whole routine off. He still has to walk a lot of times with a walker and a cane and what-not. I can't say enough about the caregivers. They're very, very personable. They're kind. My brother has a really, really nice apartment. The whole facility is well maintained. They must have cleaning staff that really takes good care of it. We've never seen anything that looks like it hasn't been taken care of. If I ever have to get into a situation, it would be a place where I wouldn't have to fear what type of care I'd get over there because I've seen firsthand what my brother is getting over there. They have card playing, and they have areas where they do crafts. I know from other clients over there that they get into cooking and sewing and you name it, so they try their best to keep the clients upbeat. I've talked to a bunch of nurses and the office staff. They're very, very professional to say the least. From the cooks to the nurses to the maintenance staff, I am very impressed. Whoever trained these people really did a really good job. I also have had lunch with them a couple of times because you can pay to have lunch there with them, and I always thought it was fantastic. I would give the facility the top rating. It's unique. The shrubbery, the grass cutting, everything is done to the max. As far as what they're offering for activities, I would almost have to give them the top rating. They bus them sometimes to different places. They do their best as far as I'm concerned. When you get a group of people in that age bracket, a lot of times there are always some people that aren't happy about this or that, and you don't hear it there. I'm not real up on what other facilities charge, but we're the power of attorney for my brother, and my wife helps with the financial part of it as far as buying the meds and paying for the stay. He'll be going on medical assistance because his retirement funds are dwindling. They're as fair as they can be because they have to maintain the grounds, the utilities, and everything else. I think they're trying to do their best to keep it as affordable as possible."
