"Havenwood of Maple Grove seemed very nice. They didn't have the unit that I wanted available. So, I kind of didn't go back there. The rooms were nice. There were some things that I didn't like. There weren't many closets. I didn't meet very many people, but the person who gave the tour was very nice. It was clean."

"Elim Shores is a nice facility. However, there is no dishwasher. They need to update their kitchen. Otherwise, they seem like a nice bunch of people. They don't have meals there. You have to cook your own, which is fine, but the kitchen is kind of small."

"My sister and I visited Suite Living of Shakopee and took a look around. It was a very clean and open facility. We sat down with Lisa for quite a while, and she got a lot of information about my mom. We really enjoyed what they had to say, and then we toured the facility. Everybody was very friendly, and it was nice to see residents out and moving around. We also visited with the chef that they had, and got all the information we needed. We looked at the memory care areas, and it was just as nice and very clean. We enjoyed our experience there. The staff was friendly, said hi, and you could tell they knew everybody's name. It's a smaller community, which is what we're looking for, so we appreciated that. The room size was great. What we liked was that the station was in the center, and very accessible to see all the rooms. If someone needed help, they could actually hear him at the station. We really liked the layout."

"Benedictine Windermere Way was wonderful. The person that toured us, Randy, was super accommodating and was just a great person. The place was beautiful. Absolutely stunning. It's new so the rooms were beautiful. They were quite a bit smaller, but they're still gorgeous. They have a wonderful entrance in that lobby area. It was gorgeous, too. We waited for the meals, but they had a shortage of staff so we did not try the food, but the food looks fabulous. People raved about it. It's prepared by a chef and everybody we talked to loved it. Their dining area was beautiful. There's a fireplace. It's quite large with lots of windows and it's kept up very clean. They have physical therapy and different classes, like exercise classes. They have an outdoor patio. They were grilling out there and the activities looked great. They had an activity down in the theater room that had a big screen on it. They had different get-togethers, happy hours, and special occasions. They have a chapel that's much larger, and they have music playing. They have singalongs and the chapel looked beautiful."

"The tour at Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge went wonderfully. I had a good time over there. It's a nice place. I liked the building structure. It looked like Northwoods Cabin. I had minimal interaction with the staff, but it was very good. The rooms were spacious. The amenities were very good. Every room had a full kitchen and large windows. I love the nature outside. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable."

"The staff was very knowledgeable and very nice at The Wellstead. The facility was very clean. The rooms were gorgeous. They have real plan in place to keep residents up and moving. The facility was bigger, so it was not as personal but still very nice. All of the people seemed to be really happy, clean, and smell good. They had many activities, physical therapists, speech therapists, and counselors."

"The rooms are older and small. The care is moderately good. The biggest complaint is that we purchased new comfortable clothing for him and within a week all but one item we purchased “disappeared” never to be seen again. They also “lost” a sweatshirt that was very dear to him. It is obvious that they randomly distribute clothing to other patients as we often arrived and he was wearing items that were not his own. I would be very wary of this place."

"My tour experience at Suite Living of Crystal was great. All of the people that I talked with were extremely informative, very welcoming, very knowledgeable, and helpful. I didn't eat any of the food, but the cafeteria looked very homey and it looked like a nice little restaurant. You would want to sit and eat dinner with your family there. The staff knew the tenants and the tenants knew the staff. It was a small place, they only have around 30 beds. The room I saw was more for one person to live there, it's a studio but it looks nice. I could completely see my mom living there. The bathroom was really nice and really large, and even though the word "studio" kind of freaked me out, when I went to see it I was extremely impressed. It looked like you could make it nice, you have to bring in your own medical-grade bed. And the lady said we can bring a big couch, or we could bring a pullout couch, or bring furniture from home as well for when people come and visit and make it feel like it's your own little space. It didn't have a full kitchen but it had a nice area for a small microwave and a small refrigerator, but just not have a stovetop or an oven, but there was a ton of cabinet space. So you could still feel like you're kind of at home, but not actively cooking. There's a chart on the wall with a list of activities, they had a big table so you can have friends over and eat there. It breaks down to $10,000 a month."

"Mom also really liked it, but it was really massive, and she felt it was too fancy for her. The people were really friendly. There was a lot to do there, which was one thing I really liked about it. Going to the dining room was like going to a restaurant. It was huge. They had a pool for water aerobics. It was absolutely beautiful. The only thing she did not like about it was the buy-in. It was extremely well maintained, and it was so inviting. They had a little café where people can go and get coffee. The staff was very open to questions and were very friendly. "

"I've toured Ecumen Oaks & Pines and the experience has been good. They're very friendly and knowledgeable when I ask them questions. They walked us through the different areas like the laundry, the dining, and the activity areas. The facility was very clean and welcoming. My parents are getting a 2-bedroom here, which has plenty of space and is laid out nicely. All the utilities are included except for the phone, and you pay for maintenance for the air conditioner. They have a monthly calendar of activities from cards to exercises and bell choir. They go dining out, they take them to different groceries or Walmart or whatever, there's a weekly activities schedule also. They also had amenities like a salon and barber shop."

"We thought Copperfield Hills would have been a lovely place for my mom. We were really impressed with the facility. They did have plenty of activities and social spaces in the building. They had a whole array of activities as well as tours and trips out to restaurants. They did have games and movie nights in the home itself, too. "
