My brother has been in Wood Haven for a week now. It's very clean, very modern, and very appealing with their furnishings in the room. The staff is very, very friendly and professional. The food seemed good, and there were also alternate choices if something didn't appeal to you. They have activities, laundry, health, and transportation services. The rooms are good. Some were smaller than others, and some had a private bath and some did not, but all of them have windows, closet space, and Direct TV; so that was nice too.

My mother moved into Wood Haven Senior Living. We like the amount of programming throughout the day rather than her last assisted living where they just let her sleep on her couch all day. This new community is actively engaging her all day, getting her up, strongly encouraging participation in all activities, and they have more choices of activities. The staff is all trained in memory care. From what I've been told, there are more food choices than what she's used to. They have two or three choices. It sounds like it will be fun and good. They are very nice. They asked what her favorite food was for her first meal there, and they were gonna make that. We went in person, but we were unable to go inside. One of the directors did a Facetime tour for us while we were there due to COVID. She is in a companion room, but it seems very big from what we've seen through pictures. It's larger than we thought. Each resident has a bed, a chair, a dresser, and a night table. It's big and bright and has lots of windows. I like the staff engagement. I like that everyone is trained in memory care and that they're also loving and welcoming to her and us. It's great. It doesn't smell when you walk in. It has a fresh smell, it's open, it's clean, and there's someone at the front desk all day. It's nice, welcoming, and refreshing. I haven't heard any complaints yet regarding food. It's beautiful. They're busy all day.

My aunt was here for respite care. It was very home-like, and the staff was very friendly. They had an activity room. The dining area was good, and she was happy with the setup and liked the food. She had a roommate, and the room was clean.

I went twice and liked it the first time I went. I went back for a second look and didn’t like it as much as I did the first time. I felt like there were a lot of residents in their rooms and not a lot of activities going on. I just didn’t feel it was as energetic as I thought it should be, so I was disappointed. The rooms were average, not exceptional, but I was not looking for anything fancy, so they were OK. The staff was standing around talking to each other more than taking care of the patients. I felt like the residents were not busy enough, and so there should be more activities. Both activity centers, the second time we went, were in darkness. They said, “Oh, this is our activity room,” but there was nothing going on and the lights were not even on.

It is right down the street from me. I've been there 3 times, and it's absolutely wonderful. The director and the admission staff were lovely, they made you feel at home, and couldn't have been sweeter. The whole facility is for memory care. It's a beautiful place, all one level, and well suited for what my husband had. I would send him there in a heartbeat. I've recommended this place to 3 people in my support group, and they all fell in love with the place.

My mother now lives here. We think everything is excellent. It is very neat and clean. It does not smell. The people are very good to my mother. I will recommend it highly. They have a lot of activities going on . They have music. They have small animals that are there. They have a dog that walks around trying to make people happy. They like the dog. They have birds that they can see. I have not tried their food, but my mother seems happy with their food. They have a couple of different dining areas, depending on what stage you are.
