My mother is happy at The Oaks. They got everything. They got barbecues outside and they have game rooms and TV rooms. She loves to eat. She loves her food. She's gained ten pounds since she's been at the Oaks. Her room is very clean. They call me once or twice a week to tell me whatever is going on and if everything's OK. She doesn't do much of the activities, but they have anything that they want to do. The facility is very nice. The staff is wonderful. They do everything that they can to make them comfortable. They're very good. I have no complaints with any of them. They have conference rooms and private rooms. For people that want to come visit their family and they want a private room, they have that. They have a room where they just go in and sit and they have pastries, coffee, and donuts in the morning. They have another room with all kinds of activities, games, puzzles, and TV, and every room has their own nurse that watches all the people that go in each room. They're very good. It's a very successful place.

My husband moved into The Oaks. It had a very good reputation, and it was very homey. They're very, very good with the residents. They seemed very, very nice there, but the setting is kind of old. It's not a brand-new home. They seemed very caring. My husband can't walk, so they'll have staff sit with him for a while. They're very into the residents, watching them. He loves the food. They do have activities and he has been participating, but he has a lot of physical therapy and OT. They have a courtyard and a salon. They have a pretty good amount of things there for people to do.

My mother was at The Oaks. I was very pleased with them. She needed to have an antibiotic, and I just didn't feel qualified with her medical issues at the time in doing that. I preferred that she went to a facility where the nurse would administer the intravenous antibiotic, and they could watch over her with the medical knowledge that I don't have. I never got to see the rooms. This is due to Covid, but we were allowed to visit for 45 minutes once a week. She stayed there six weeks, and it was only the last three weeks that we were able to do that. Whenever I called the staff, they were very good; they always got back to me. My mother developed a hearing problem through this last episode of being hospitalized and everything. Because she could not hear me on the phone, I called the front desk and I said, 'Could you please ask my mother to use her other ear and see if she can hear me?' They went right down, and I didn't wait long at all. I was pleased with the care she received, but due to Covid you just couldn't go into the facility. You were allowed to go visit in one specific room directly from the outside into this room, and they had to bring her in that room and follow all the Covid guidelines. I feel they did the best they could for everyone's safety. When you can't go into a facility, it's hard to give a rating; but as far as the staff and everything, I'm not going to say anything bad about them. I was happy with the care and this service.

I could not have picked a better facility to place my mother for her short term rehab stay! The staff members were very accomodating and caring. Therapy were great with her and made her feel comfortable. Activity programs were great and she enjoyed the variety of programs offered to her. She enjoyed the food and enjoyed dining in the main dining room with her peers! Overall this facility was great and she will be returning if she ever needs services again!

I visited The Oaks, and I actually liked it, but there was no swimming pool. They do have the workout room, of course, for therapy. They have a hairdresser that comes in, they have an activity room, and they have an ice-cream and popcorn shop where you can get free ice-cream and popcorn. Nice grounds and very accommodating staff.
