Charter Senior Living of Dedham

I went to see the assisted living facility of Charter Senior Living of Dedham. It's very clean and smells nice. They have a lot of things for the elderly to do. They have all kinds of activities there for them. They have a beautiful dining area with a menu, and they have somebody who plays the piano there, which makes it nicer. I went in to look at a suite, because that's what I'm interested in for my mother, and it was very nice and accommodating. Visitors can come in and stay overnight and bring pets. My mother has 3 small dogs, so her visitors can bring the dogs to visit her and spend one night there, as long as they can take them out for a walk and all that. I liked what I saw, and the person who gave the tour was very good.

My mom stayed at Charter Senior Living of Dedham for respite care. The community is very nice and well-kept. They did go through a renovation of the property just to keep it fresh. I thought the decor was very nice. The room that we got, because it was a respite stay, was already furnished. But we did have to put a hospital bed because she's at a hospital bed at the house. That's the only thing that we kind of brought in as far as furniture-wise. But everything was really nice. The staff was good. When I was there, I met our amazing contact person. She was a sales and marketing director. She was very good. She made sure any needs that we had were met. The head of, I guess the nursing and care, was amazing. She came and checked on my mom to make sure she was receiving the level of care that she needed. They had games. They had movie nights after dinner. They had social activities. There was an issue with the elevator, so they kind of cut out some of the activities because of the elevator not working, and it was being repaired. My mom actually enjoyed the food. She thought the food was good. The times when the elevator was working, when they were able to get her downstairs, she enjoyed the other residents there. They were very welcoming and the staff was very welcoming. They cut her food up if she needed it. So everything was very good.

My friend has moved here. It has the perfect size apartment for her. They're wonderful staff. They're supportive and caring. She can get outside and walk on her own. She is near a close friend who can come over frequently when needed. Food is okay. The amenities are very tastefully done, very attractive, and very comfortable. Every time I go, which is pretty frequent, there are always a lot of residents gathered comfortably around. It's just a comfortable, welcoming living environment for everybody. It seems that everybody feels comfortable kind of gathering as friends. The dining room is more personal. It's comfortable looking and comfortable feeling. It doesn't look stark and cold like a restaurant. All in all, It was the perfect answer for us in every way.

I like the appearance. It was very colonial in appearance and modern. The location was pleasant. It was too far from amenities, but it is attractive. The staff was very upbeat and engaging. There were numerous activities, walking trails, and multiple places for you to entertain guests. The dining area was very attractive and spacious. The common areas were very spacious. It was homey and welcoming.

When I visited my cousin I was really impressed with the place and all the activities going on. All the people living there seemed happy and interested in the game they were playing. We had a great visit with my cousin, I haven’t seen her this content in a long time.

It was being remodeled, so everything was updated. The person who took me around had lots of knowledge and was very involved. The staff was very friendly. There were a lot of people gathering in the great room, just for conversation, and enjoying themselves. The food looked very good, and they had a lot more variety than some of the other areas.
