I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We visited our friends who are residents of The Atrium at The Cedars. They have a lovely unit, and it was the size that we would be looking for independent living, and it's very nice. There are more options for food, which is more attractive. It's a bit higher class. We had lunch there, and it was very good. They have a smaller cafe-type place, and that's where we ate. The chief advantage of The Atrium at The Cedars is that you can be there if you have a memory care or an assisted living issue. They can take care of that easily.

I visited this facility

We liked The Atrium at The Cedars. It looked like it had good activities. It had a nice little fitness center. They have a different kind of meal plan where you get like 30 meals a month. They have a full kitchen. We looked at a two-bedroom. The facility is very nice. I can't speak to their activities as much, but they have music come in and cultural activities and things like that. They have a nice big common area, a library, and a game room, that kind of stuff. We were pleased that they had a fitness center because we're into that. The staff was wonderful. We liked the person who gave us a tour. She was very knowledgeable and warm. We liked her.

My mom has been a resident for over five years and I can’t say enough about how kind the staff is! I have never met such caring employees. The apartments are very nice and are painted before you move in according to the colors you choose. There are so many activities going on if you like keeping busy…from games to current events to book clubs and scheduled entertainment. There is a van that will take residents out to eat or go to a show once a week .A driver will also take the residents to their appointments and grocery shopping . There are exercise classes and a pool for water aerobics…There are birthday wine and cheese celebrations every month.… The food is very good with three meal choices each night! I would highly recommend the Atrium to anyone interested in independent living.

I visited this facility

I thought The Atrium at The Cedars was very well managed and I liked the business model, which is you put a very large amount of money down, and then the monthly cost is a little bit less, but we were looking for independent living. I liked it but my mom's just not ready to make a move and it is hard to come up with a big chunk of money. I liked the dining room, the indoor pool, the staff, and the apartments. We were just looking at a one-bedroom, so it's just one bathroom, one bedroom, living room, and a kitchen, and they said they would paint it any color you want. They make a lot of changes before anyone moved in to personalize it and I thought that was nice. We were given some free sandwiches and they were good, and the menu just looked good. The activities seemed great. There was a water coloring activity taking place, they do a lot of Bridge, and they have current events where people can meet and talk. I liked it. I want to live there myself.
