My mom has been a resident of Sable Lodge Retirement Community. She doesn't participate too much in the activities there. She hasn't been able to. It's very independent living. There is no one there to kind of get you motivated to join. They do have activities where they do take people out every week and they go shopping, and then they go to games and they do different activities, which seems pretty fun, but my mom just wasn't too interested in going right now. They are pretty active over there, it seems, to some people that choose to go. My mom has a one-bedroom condo. It has central air and central heating. It's a nice shape. It's a brand-new unit. It's fully carpeted except for the kitchen and the bathroom. There's a small kitchen area and a bathroom. It's not too big, it's not too small. They come in and clean once a week, which is nice. Meals are included in the rent. You can have them delivered to your door anytime, or you can also go down and eat downstairs as much as you want. They deliver them to your door, and they just deliver one choice and that's it. It's a small choice and they don't give you a lot, but a lot of people don't eat a lot over there. They have a brunch on Sunday. The staff interactions have been pretty good. No issues. Nothing major. They're friendly enough. However, I wasn't crazy about the meals.

Sable Lodge Retirement Community was very friendly. We were very impressed with everything that we saw. We visited there several times. Each time we went, we had a different person to talk to in the management, but everybody was very, very nice, and informative. The dining area was also very good. We ate there at least twice, once with my husband and once with my daughter, and each time the head of the food services came out and spoke with us to see how we were doing. He was very, very pleasant, and made us feel very welcome. They offered a lot of things. There was an exercise room. They have people who come in and help with various things. They have a weekly happy hour for everybody. There are different groups that play cards there. They do performances and so forth, and movies frequently. They also offer some church services there. We were very impressed with those. My feeling was they've dotted all the I's and crossed all the T's. Everybody just did a very good job. The food we experienced was excellent and we liked the format. Some of the other places that we visited, everybody ate at exactly the same time, and one place took us an hour and a half to eat lunch. We liked the idea that you can go in and sit down and get your lunch within a timeframe at Sable Lodge Retirement Community. If you are in a hurry, fine. If you're leisurely, that's also fine. They sort of met all our standards.

Sable Lodge Retirement Community was very nice with nice rooms and grounds. It was in a slightly busier area than the other place, but we liked it. I can't remember who toured us, but she was very good. We like that; that's on our list. We looked at two-bedroom rooms, and they were nice. They also have one-bedroom rooms and studios. The dining area was nice. They have an activity area with cards and a little bit of exercise bikes and things like that.

I toured Sable Lodge Retirement Community. I liked the location. The location was good. They had valet parking, a nice dining room, and nice accommodation. I was interested in a one-bedroom-one-bath. It had full kitchens. They had good activities. They had poker games. I believe there were more men in the facility than there were women. The common areas were very nice. They had a nice dining room, a snack room, and an exercise room. The staff that I met were very nice.

Sable Lodge Retirement Community was great, but the price is too much for me. They took me around and showed me the whole place. I would have liked to have it. They had an Italian lunch, and it was great. The staff during the tour was great. I had somebody give me a wheelchair, and they wheeled me around and showed me the rooms. It's a beautiful place.

My daughter and I had a tour done by Deb, this was not her exact position she was just filling in, but I will say if the rest of the staff is as enthusiastic and nice as deb then I know I will be immensely happy living there. I loved the place and look forward to possible moving there.

We toured Sable Lodge Retirement Community. It was very nice, I liked it a lot, it was very, very well appointed. The staff was very, very helpful, very nice. No complaints. The location was very good and the building was clean, the outside of the building was well looked after. It was just a nice, open, airy sort of place. Very nice. We did have a meal, and the food was very good. Excellent. We went there at lunchtime, so we just had soup and half a sandwich that was very good. They had everything. They had a fitness room, they had a library. They had an open area where you could just sit. The dining room was very nice. They showed us the apartments and they were a good size. It has a lot of life and it's just nice. I just liked when we first walked in the front door. It just had a nice atmosphere.

Sable Lodge Retirement Community was lovely. It's gorgeous, and it's beautiful. You felt like you were on a cruise ship. It's just extremely expensive. Everybody was extremely cordial, friendly, and polite. The rooms were very nice, modern equipment, beautiful, and put together very nicely. I saw some activities while I was there and it looked like people were involved and having a good time. It was fully taken care of. Everything was provided. I had lunch there and it was very good.

My friend is going to be moving to Sable Lodge Retirement Community in South Portland. We chose it for him because it had everything that we were looking for. It has awesome food, the freedom of dining, and the rent was reasonable. It has a full gym, a bank, a theater, and a little store in it. The place is beautiful and there were no high-pressure sales. They just kind of let us view the place, and my friend loved it. The room was a 1-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. It is spacious, 700 and something square feet. All of the places have washer dryer hookups in the bathrooms, but they also have community laundry on each floor. A TV is included with the rent, so is the internet and also a landline phone. The call button emergency alert buttons are included with the rent too. It just really had everything that you could ever need in an apartment. It was very spacious with large windows and the building was beautifully kept. He's very excited to be moving in there and getting out of the woods. They are very limited in their studio apartments. Most of their units are 1-bedroom apartments, but they also have 2-bedroom units. It's independent living but they do have some assistance if you need it. They have agencies that come in, but they do not offer the service. The manager lives on-site, they have concierge service 24 seven at the front desk, and they have valet parking. The place is just phenomenal. They have a full gym, a barbershop, and a hairdressing salon. They even have a bank branch and they have a little thing called Main Street. It has a small little convenience store in there where you can go downstairs and buy certain items. They have a 100-seat movie theater and they have room service at no charge if they decide not to go down to the dining room. You can call and order things and they'll bring them up. It's just really gracious retirement living.

We're currently living in Sable Lodge Retirement Community. The meals are included here. They're satisfactory. They aren't high dining, but they're satisfactory. The rooms are very spacious. The residents here are very, very friendly we're were like a big family, and everybody is greeted with open arms. The staff is very good. I was able to bring somebody in to help me with my husband and that meant that we didn't have to go to assisted living. They have a lot of activities, they have an activities director. We get a schedule every month that is just chock full of things that you can do. Some of the residents have started their own activities. Sixteen of us have bought walking sticks and have a walking stick club.

I have been here at Sable Lodge for six months now. I have been very happy here. I have a garage that I pay extra for. I get three meals a day. They have someone that cleans the car if you need that. They have trips that they take, outings every day, and they have lots of activities in the building. It is really nice. The food is very good.

I took a tour at Sable Lodge Retirement Community, and the place was very nice. The salesperson was lovely, and her name was Angie. The rooms were spacious enough for a retirement home, and the amount of closets was good. The kitchen was lovely, and I like the big floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the bathrooms. It just looked like a very nice place to live. The person who gave me the tour was a very nice young woman. The location could be better because the view wasn't very good.

We've done the tour at Sable Lodge Retirement Community, and my dad is moving in tomorrow. It was new, very clean, very nice, and has a lot of amenities. It's beautiful, and my dad is excited to move in. The staff is very good, they're very great. He will be staying at a one-bedroom apartment. They have multiple rooms; a variety of them. Everything is included, it has a billiard room, a movie theater, a hair salon, a bank, a small store, a sauna, and a full-equipment exercise room. We had to have our temperature taken and then have a hand sanitizer; it's all set up.

I saw Sable Lodge. I like the kitchen and the apartment. I like the fact that there were different places to gather. I like the fact that you could have company and have a section where you could eat. I felt like I was on a cruise ship. Definitely more spacious. Obviously, I prefer that one. When we walked through, it's like they were surprised and they were celebrating birthdays, so we were able to see that. There was a little bit more activity going on at the time. There was a possibility to put a washer and dryer.

Sable Lodge was very nice, but it was very expensive. It was like a cruise ship, so it didn't feel homey and comfortable. They had all kinds of activities like bus tours and courses to take. The rooms were very nice and somewhat spacious and looked very new as if they had never been lived in before. They were like hotel rooms. It just didn't seem like the place where I would be comfortable living my life. The staff was very nice and polite, and the facility was very clean.
