We toured 75 State Street. The grounds are old. They have several old buildings that are connected with hallways and attachments. The buildings are old themselves. The interior is OK. It's not outstanding or anything. The rooms that we looked at were very small and very expensive. For example, for me and my wife, if we were to go there, I would be the one that would be renting, but I have to pay extra for my wife. It's in the middle of a city. It's close to the ocean, but the area is not so nice. When we were driving there, we saw several cars that were damaged with broken windshields. It's also in the middle of a college and overgrown area. It's relatively not too safe, I don't think. They have a parking lot. You have to give them keys to your cars, so if it snows, they can move the cars. That doesn't sit well with me giving someone else my keys to my car. The elevators were very small. We would have had an extremely difficult time just moving our stuff up into the room. The staff member who toured us was a very nice person. However, I didn't see any activities posted or see anyone in any activities. They're way too expensive for what they're offering.

I liked 75 State Street very much. Lauren showed me around, and she was excellent. I didn't get a chance to see the rooms, but it was a lovely facility in a nice location. We just visited the different areas and the dining room and they were all nice. They included the meals with the prices, which was good. I liked that I don't have to move if I need more help down the line.

We liked 75 State Street very much. What we especially liked about it is if you have issues with being able to afford it after some time, they can assist you find financial assistance so that you can stay there, which is a big deal. All of their offerings match what we would need. The staff or the person who gave us the tour was lovely. She answered all the questions we came up with and gave us a nice tour of the facility. She was very accommodating and very kind to us. The one apartment we saw would be too small for us because we're still active enough that I would want a little more space than they had. But the other rooms were lovely. They were renovating some of the rooms and they were putting solar panels on their roof. They're doing a lot of updating to make it even more pleasant and more comfortable for everyone. We saw a menu, and it was very lovely. They had a lot of choices. They were also renovating the dining area. They're updating it and getting new furniture. They had an outdoor area with raised beds, which I would be interested in.

75 State Street is an older community. They have done well with what they've got, but it was very choppy, just very difficult to learn your way around and the population seemed to be much older and less active. The room had a small kitchenette. They had a very small outdoor area. The staff seemed very nice.

75 State Street is a great place, but not for my mother. It's very busy and very energetic, and my mother is very sedate, quiet, and needs a lot of assistance. We just didn't feel that it was right for her. The rooms felt basically the same with the same square footage. Everything looked fine, and the staff who gave the tour was also fine. They kept their seniors busy, but their seniors were much more lively than my mother. We didn't try any food, but the dining room looked fine and smelled wonderful. It seemed to be very well-run. It was well-maintained, and everybody seemed happy there.

I went to 75 State Street twice. I know someone who lives there. He has some definite memory issues, but he's still in independent living. They do allow them to stay for quite a while, so you can stay on independent level living, and you would pay extra for the care. The first time I went, I had the tour. After the tour was over, I went and visited my friend in his apartment. The second time, I went with my other friend. I did see my friend who I visited the first time in the dining room, but I just went over and said hi. The staff was excellent, and she greeted the residents by names when we met people. They have exercise classes. They have music, and they have raised gardens. People could be involved in gardening. They have a small chapel, and they do have a library. It was a very well done tour, but the other thing that bugs me (which I told them) is that my friend lives on the fifth floor. When I was there the first time, I knocked on his door and he didn't hear me. Then I called him, and it woke him up. I had to wait for him to get dressed. Their fifth floor has been waiting for furniture, which I understand that things are backed up. There was a table in the big common area, but no chairs; there was no place for me to sit and wait and there was no option. There was no place for people on that floor to sit together and visit, or visit if they had a friend and wanted to spread out. That was in October. When I went back in December, the table was gone and there were still no chairs. I did say to her that that bothered me because I felt like that was something that was missing. Even if it was just folding chairs, there should be a place for people to sit down and visit with each other. It's pleasant and actually appealed to my friend because it's a little bit different. The rooms are at different angles. It's not boxy, so she likes that. One of the apartments we looked at had its own washer and dryer, and it had a huge kitchen. The rooms vary quite a bit.
