I moved my mom to The Heritage of Overland Park after she was in a different facility that kept everyone in their rooms unless they were eating a meal or had a scheduled activity (which made my mom feel very isolated). The Heritage was just what my mom needed! The staff invites the residents to stay out in the living area (if they want to be there) so they are not isolated in their rooms and so staff can keep an eye on them to help with any needs they may have. The Director of Nursing and the staff members are very knowledgeable about memory care/dementia and know how to keep the residents feeling content and safe. My mom was in hospice and at the end of her life, and I am very thankful that she felt safe, cared for, and valued in her last days. Thank you Heritage of Overland Park!

Heritage of Overland Park was very nice. I saw the rooms and they were very nice. My husband requires insulin, but they don't have the registered nurses to do that at night time. They were very nice and I have nothing bad to say about them whatsoever. The common spaces were very clean.

We chose Heritage of Overland Park for my dad because we liked that it was all ground floor, and we liked that the buildings were small. Everyone we met was very caring. In general, everything that they told us about the facility met our needs. During the first week, we tried communicating with a couple of these staff members by emailing with some questions about things as far as moving my dad in. And we've not gotten a response from them so that concerns us a bit. However, we were told that they typically don't like moving people in on weekends, which is what we requested. But one of the things that I would have to say is we toured them on a Wednesday and we got him in on the following Saturday, which was extremely quick, and which is very much what we needed. And so it could be that the speed at which we moved in, hasn't allowed them to settle in with him. But still, the communication has been disappointing so far, but we're still going to work on it. The staff we've met are all just wonderful. My sisters ate there once and they said the food was good. They have activities available and everything available. They have a little dining room, they have a little family room for watching TV, there's a little exercise room, and there's a beautiful courtyard that the residents will be able to have access to when the weather is nice. I like the layout, there were two separate hallways for the resident's room. And at the end of each hallway are two wonderful, very well-lit sitting rooms with lots of windows. And then what else did you ask? Amenities like the list of amenities. I like the fact that they take the residents out of the facility on a bus. They drive around and look at cool houses, drive around a park, and they take the residents out to eat, which is wonderful.

My mother moved into Heritage of Overland Park. She had a friend there, and that's where she wanted to go. She moved in today. Heritage was my favorite of the places I visited. It's excellent. The rooms are nice. They've got a bunch of different activities. The owner is very involved. I just like the way he runs it. It's just nice, clean, and has a good compassionate staff.

I visited the Heritage of Overland Park. I liked the size of the community, I liked the fact that the owner was there on the premises, right down the street at his office, and that it wasn't a big corporation. The rooms were very nice and well kept, the bathrooms were well-appointed. My mother will have more space than where she was previously. Everything seems to be attractive and well-managed. They had a small gym and workout area, they had a dining area with tables for four to six to sit at. They also had staff spread throughout the eating area to make sure that the residents were getting any assistance they might need, be that encouragement or help with cutting up their food, to actual feeding some people. They had little off-side sitting areas for small conversation and relaxing. They also had an activity area.

I found Heritage of Overland Park for my father. So far it's been very good, and the staff has been very good too. I think it's fair for the money. I would recommend them because they're friendly, and their staff to resident -- I liked the ratio. They have a nice ratio of staff to residents.

Heritage of Overland Park has three buildings and doesn't look institutional. The layout is great. The living room is very homey. They have a counter there where the residents can watch the cooking being done. The place is very nice but very expensive. I ate there once, and the food was very good. Their director was great. She called several times and followed up with information. She was very helpful and very genuine.

Heritage of Overland Park has three buildings with 16 units in it. Everything was very nice, and I think what's really important was that the owner was there and he specializes in memory care. We met the owner of the property who went around with us, too. We felt very good about it. Everything looked good. We met with the chef, and it all seemed very good. They took people to restaurants, so they don't have all the meals inside the property, which was good.

We chose Heritage of Overland Park for my mother. I like that it is cleaner. It didn't smell like a lot of the other places do, and I like the people that I met there. I eat there all the time, and it's good. They encourage the families to come to eat meals with the residents. Every month, they have a family dinner where the families sit down to eat with them; which we just had last Tuesday night.

What a wonderful community. I was thoroughly amazed at the smaller home-like set up...only 18 residents in a home. My father and I toured and he immediately had a connection with one of the CNA's. He actually is excited to move in! What more could I ask for. Thank you Heritage Point for making our transition simple, smooth and actually wonderful. Your love and compassion has truly touched our harts. Many blessings.

I have been to Heritage many times to see a lifetime friend. I am continually amazed at the love and compassion of those working there. The residents are happy and content, always doing an activity. Food is great. If you are in need of help, you need to take a look!

My husband is in The Heritage. We chose it because I liked the ratio of the caregivers. I think they are very professional, and they help my husband settle in. He seems happy as he can be. It is new. I think is it is three or four years old. It is beautiful. I think they have 16 residents per building. Each building has its own patio area, which is quite pretty. It is not extravagant, but is very comfortable and homey. The neighborhood is good. The meals are okay. They offer daily activities. My husband went on a museum tour yesterday. He is in an exercise class, but he is not normally interested in exercise class. They do a lot of cooking, and arts and crafts, but he is just not into that. However, I think they do a good job.

My grandmother stayed at this facility after her stroke. At this senior living facility, I was amazed at how much elegance was present and how well each senior was cared for. With oldies music playing in the background along with old style furniture, I have no reason to believe that a senior could hate it. The facility is beautiful and there are many amenities for the elderly. There is a big living area for all the elderly to gather and socialize or watch t.v. The facility was kept clean and everyone was very calm and relaxed. Seemed like it was a nice quiet place for anyone to live in. The staff was very welcoming and made sure that she and the family were aware with the variety of services the facility had to offer. When my grandmother needs help, they are quick to respond and always provide an adequate level of service in order to meet her needs and ensure her safety. Several activities are available to residents, and the food is good. I loved the fact that the utilities were included in the total charge for a room and it is overall a wonderful place. I would recommend it to anyone in the area.
