Luther Park Apartments is very clean, very beautiful, and they keep it very well designed and updated everywhere. They have lovely apartments. The people who manage it are very friendly and easy to get along with. They provide free breakfast for everyone and there's free coffee all day long. They have pizza parties occasionally for the residents. It's a really nice community. Everyone seems to get along. They have a bus that takes people to the store and different places they need to go. They have an activity room with a pool and there are people playing cards on each floor. They buy their food downstairs. They have tables upstairs where they put together puzzles, and they have a room with exercise machines and computers. They're good at keeping people updated, and they have speakers that come for those who are interested. My mother was a resident for several years. We really like the staff and they have very good food.

My mother was in Luther Park Apartments for 10 to 11 years. I wasn't that crazy about it. The maintenance was not great. They seemed to have a hard time keeping staff. When she first got there, they offered three meals a day. When she left, they only offered two. The apartment was not set up well if you had a wheelchair or a walker. It was a very tight bathroom. They had a small library on each floor. There was a little common area with tables and couches where they could sit. There was no gym or anything for maintaining physical activity. They had a little grocery store onsite, and a hairdresser who came in once a week. They need to hire more staff. There's not enough staff there, and they need better maintenance of the apartment.

Most important is the rent is raised ever year! Apartment is 40y/o, so is smaller size with quite small bathrooms. Floors squeak. Some updated appliances. No onsite security, no door alarms. Food okay, served cafeteria style. Have bus for grocery stores and outings. Has a small store run by residents with food, snacks, toiletries. One washer and dryer on each floor. No staff except manager during business hours and maintenance staff. The residents themselves are the greatest asset. Do have wifi and direct TV included

Luther Park had a lot of different levels of care places and apartment situations; we visited the most independent living. They had some social activities, a very nice woodworking room, and an exercise room, but they didn't have a recreational activities room. I only met one staff member who was very kind and very pleasant to be with, but there wasn't any staff on duty at the place. The grounds were beautiful. They had roses all over the place, which was beautiful. It was well kept. There were lots of places you can go and sit and there are places where you can have your family over for picnics and barbecues.

Luther Park’s bedroom has everything included like kitchen, TV, and WiFi. It’s a one-bedroom unit. We don’t have a dishwasher but they do have washer and dryer on each floor that we can use. I got everything I need right here. We don’t see a lot of staff because we are an independent living community but they are friendly. It’s a very secure building.
