My family’s experience at Wyndemere, from my mom’s first visit as a potential new resident in September 2025 to her actual move-in day in November 2025, was incredibly positive. We are continually impressed with each and every staff member there. The sales team, front desk employees, the moving coordinator, the security staff, cleaning staff and the dining director & dining team have all been professional, caring, responsible and efficient. My mom is living in a newly renovated one bed/one bath unit and couldn’t be happier. She has taken advantage of Wyndemere’s myriad programs: exercise classes, book club, professional speakers, and drinks & special appetizers in the beautiful hospitality room “The Wright Place.” Immediately upon her move in day, the moving coordinator made sure my mom was aware of all the procedures & amenities offered. My mom was treated with such respect and kindness as the entire staff at Wyndemere understands what a major transition this is for their new residents. My mom has developed wonderful new friendships there and our entire family is so grateful for this community’s support.

My parents chose Wyndemere. They gave us a meal and it was great. They also have a beautiful bar inside the place and a wonderful library that is mainly donations and organized by residents. They have beautiful apartments with balconies, which is a very nice feature. The place is very updated and the residents we met were very friendly and on top of everything. We were impressed by that. The staff we met was very friendly, nice and knowledgeable. We also met a person who had been a salesperson for Wyndemere for years, and now with her husband as a resident and that said a lot for the place that someone who knew everything about it would want to live there. They have all levels of care on the campus. There's also assisted living and skilled nursing available. They have two programs, one that's fee-for-service and one that you can pay a flat rate. If my folks would need more skilled care, they don't raise the rate. It guarantees that that's what it stays at. That's a very nice feature, considering they're 89 and 84 and now able to live independently, but seeing some health issues.

We love Wyndemere because of the friendly staff. The leadership team really helped guide us in the right direction to helping us find the perfect apartment. We were able to pick out the flooring, countertops and cabinets to our liking. We are happy with our decision moving here to Wyndemere. And our family is very pleased with Wyndemere and all they have to offer us.

I chose Wyndemere. I like the size of the apartment and the way it was laid out. And they had everything else that I was looking for, like a pool. It's also more modern. It's very nice out of all the places I have looked. The village bistro was nice. I ate down there, and the food was good. The dining room looked lovely. It was just very modern-looking and up-to-date. The staff was great.

I found my perfect spot at Wyndemere ten years ago - a beautiful first-floor apartment with a patio. Being right in the center of the building makes everything convenient. What truly makes Wyndemere home for me are the activities: singing in the Choir and playing Hand & Foot after dinner are my favorites!

I have just begun to visit different senior options and found Wyndemere to be very inviting. The meal we were served was delicious, although it was not billed as a wine pairing until I got there. That was a fun and unexpected experience. The staff was enthusiastic and the resident hostess at my table was someone I had already been acquainted with. The tour of the facility highlighted the various activities and we had a view of several apartment options. Information was passed out at the end of the tour with the hopes that I would make an appointment to discuss what would be best for me price wise. This is a lovely facility.

A year ago, after 24 years in Florida and Minnesota, I returned to my Wheaton roots: Wyndemere became my new home. Accompanied by treasures amassed during 60 years of marriage, I came alone; a new widow. My apartment is welcoming, often enjoying the company of my three sons and their families, as well as newly-made friendships. As the covid masks gradually came off, I discovered a caring community who responded most favorably to me as a “newcomer.” Today, when I walk the halls or participate in an activity, I know I belong. I am a Wheatonite once again and, thanks to Wyndemere, I will cherish the times ahead.

A better choice could not have been made for my mom and sister. Wyndemere is everything and more that anyone of us would choose to reside. The facility is fabulous, the activity choices are many and the staff is friendly and kind. My mom and sister truly were happy there for 6 1/2 years. Thanks to the Wyndemere family!

I wanted to say how much we appreciate how Wyndemere approached COVID and the measures that were put in place as things have ebbed and flowed. My parents made the right choice to live in the Wyndemere community over other communities that have struggled with illness and even worse, related to COVID. The Wyndemere leadership team and ALL the employees there work so hard to make living in Wyndemere a safe and beautiful place to live! We are SOOOO happy!

I toured Wyndemere Independent Living for my parents, and I thought it was very nice, but it requires you to buy in. Essentially, you end up paying the price of the house, so it was more expensive than what they wanted to do. The place was nice, it was clean, and the residents looked happy. The staff were very helpful, very accommodating, and happy to provide a tour, it was great.

My parents moved to independent living at Wyndemere in 2010. About seven months later my father died. The Wyndemere community supported and helped my mother when her children could not be there. In February this year, 2020, my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Her decline has been rapid and complicated by COVID-19. The facility was shut down to all outside visitors including family. I appreciate their willingness to take such extreme measures to ensure the safety and health of the residents and staff. I appreciate the open communication we received on a daily basis about what was going on and the activities they provided to the residents who were being asked to stay in their apartments. As we tried to manage her disease from afar, we were constantly supported by the nursing staff, front desk, executive director and all other areas of the facility. The Wyndemere staff recognize and talk with residents and understand the unique needs of individuals living there. We are very happy my parents chose to move to Wyndemere.
