Cedarhurst of Springfield was gorgeous and had everything you needed. They took me into some of the resident's rooms, showed me the layout, and they did a great job. The rooms were very spacious, very clean, and very organized. The dining area was also very nice. They even had a big fireplace. They showed me the outside gardens, the rec room, the Jacuzzi tubs that they could attend or make appointments for, craft rooms, and other areas. It's a beautiful place. The staff was very well organized, very accommodating, and very courteous. It was a very nice facility and you get what you pay for, but the price was just too high for my mom's budget.

My mom is in Cedarhurst of Springfield, IL right now. We're very pleased with it. In the beginning, it was kind of an issue trying to figure out her schedule and their schedule, but we're good now. She's on respite care at the assisted living. When we go in, we take our temperatures, and then we use the sanitizer and wear masks at all times. I think $6,000 a month is expensive, but I know that there's nothing that can be done about that.

Cedarhurst of Springfield was very, very nice. My sister has a little puppy dog and they said OK to that, and she can drive her car. We just thought we liked them. She will be in a one-bedroom, which isn't just a big room. She'll have a room with a bedroom, and then she'll have her kitchen, the bathroom, and the living room. I thought it was very very nice. They have a nice square outside and they can walk around out there.

Cedarhurst of Springfield was totally comparable to the other place I visited. They're about the same age, they're brand new, their facilities are lovely, and they're furnished beautifully. The executive director met us and he spent lots of time with us, and answered lots of questions. He was a very personable man. They had some one-bedroom apartments available, which were very, very nice. We saw the cafeteria and there were people eating, but we didn't. That was a Saturday morning and there were some activities going on. In the living area and kind of kitchen area, there were ladies stuffing peppers with cream cheese, and they had just baked a pie. And that part of the activity was quite active. There's a lady that was working with the women that were involved in the cooking activity. They have a movie room, a beauty shop, and everything that you could want. They give you transportation to wherever you need to be, and they take care of your medications.

Cedarhurst of Springfield is very nice and everybody there seems nice as well. The staff has been very helpful. When we moved my dad there, we took him to the door and they took him to his room and helped us set it up. It's a very clean community and the apartment he moved in was all new. The location itself was very nice as well.
