The tour at Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory was fantastic. It was a clean facility that also had individual servers at mealtimes. It was a smaller facility than the one we picked. We were able to see the common areas. It looked like a fancy hotel and we liked it a lot. Our tour guide was really helpful and very nice. We probably would have chosen this place had we not seen the other one. The staff who gave the tour was empathetic, friendly, and understood our situation. We felt comfortable with her. The dining area was cozy and inviting, but we didn't eat there. They also have a calendar of events. The atmosphere was healthy and it was vibrant. We saw some residents sunbathing on the back deck. It was great there, it looked very comfortable and it also smelled good.

I have been a resident since 2018. I was so delighted to be part of this beautiful community. There has been complete management turnover since I have been a resident. This has not been an asset. Great dissatisfaction is what I am feeling . The property on the back patios is no more kept in order daily. The furniture and cushions are not repositioned daily, or even monthly. We used to look down on an orderly lovely court yard. ( and into beautiful woods that are now a residential development in progress). Our carpets are stained from eating 3 meals a day in our apartments due to Covid-19. (We have been kept very safe in the Pandemic, for which we are thankful!) Our caring, joyful employees with the “Arbor Way” continue to leave too often, for lack of appreciation and decent pay for the hard work they do. We are blessed by the employees who have stayed and the new, caring ones. We miss the service of our beds being made daily, and turned down at night. Our food is generally well below par. Of poor quality, not well prepared, and too often, not nutritious menu choices. Many of us have great dissatisfaction with the food. It is not how Arbor advertises the dining experience. It is wonderful to have an RN on board again. Our med techs add so much to our safe experience here. Which is so important. I selected this Arbor to be near my children, but not to have to depend on them for everything, to be able to live a fun, active lifestyle in spite of various health conditions, to have assistance at my fingertips when I needed help, and with no kitchen to have 3 nutritious meals a day. I had all this but even before COVID it was changing. I hope Corporate can help.

Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory has been wonderful and we've been very pleased with it. The staff is very caring and very attentive. The place itself is brand new, lovely, and very nicely appointed. The residents can do low-level game activities, mild physical exercises, stretching classes, Bingo, and board games.

We visited and receive a tour of Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory while conduction a search for a facility for our love one's transition from home. We found out that Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory offered a lot of option in activities and felt that it would be the right place where she would receive the best care and support she needs to maintain good quality of life. The atmosphere and the staffs encountered were very reassuring. Thank you!

Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory offered so many things and did all that they could for their dementia residents to give them opportunities to do whatever they still can do. They wanted to focus on what the residents could do instead of what they could not do, and to me, that’s quality of life. It's brand new, and they seemed to have more innovative things for their residents. They seemed to be on the cutting edge of what the dementia patients need. Their memory care wing was really equipped with what the latest studies have shown to be good for those types of patients. I really liked the place a lot.
