"We visited Antebellum James Burgess. It was very good but too big. It was beautiful but cold feeling, so we didn’t care for it too much even though it was new and pretty. We really didn’t like this community. The girl we met with was nice enough. The halls were long and wide and didn’t have a homey atmosphere about it. The apartments were OK. They’re just like they all are with room for the bed, an area where you put stuff, a little kitchen in some of them, and a bathroom. But frankly, I don’t know how my mother would have made it down those halls. It just wasn’t for us. It was a beautiful community, but we just didn’t like it. We couldn’t afford it. "

"Village Park at Spalding was too far away. It took us 45 minutes to get there. The visit was very nice, but it was geared more toward assisted living. Even though my dad is 90 years old, he is still pretty active, and I want to put him in a place that has more activity. The rooms were small and a little bit dark. There didn't seem to be a lot of light there. The residents were wheelchair- or walker-bound, so they're a little bit further along in terms of their aging process than my dad."

"We went to visit The Oaks at Alpharetta but they didn't have space available. They were at the top of our list. I liked the accommodations, I liked the cleanliness, and I like how welcoming the staff was. It's a huge facility, it's well-kept and it's secure. The staff who gave the tour was very pleasant and very understanding. The overall facility was excellent. For those who could go out, they would take them out on outings. The rooms that I saw there were excellent."

"In the next couple of days, we are going to sign a contract with Atria North Point. It's two miles from my house. There were lots of choices of apartments. There was a room that we liked so much, my husband was like, "Maybe we should move in here!" It had the most fantastic balcony overlooking the woods. It was gorgeous. There were lots of activities. We had lunch there, and the food quality was excellent. The people were lovely. The hospitality was very good."

"My father is in Oaks at Shiloh Point. He's in memory care. It's a caring community, and the experience overall has been very good. He's in a nice, spacious room. Maintenance and upkeep are good. He eats the food, so I guess it's pretty good, because he's not super verbal. He can't get outside because they don't have enough staff to take him outside. That's one of our issues that we're dealing with right now. It's a very serene place. The executive director and the marketing director are super nice people, very caring, and very hands on. The only issue is not enough activity level."

"The Addison of Sandy Springs is close to where we live, it is fairly new, and it's beautiful, bright, big, and friendly. I think it's perfect for my mom's living situation. We are thinking of moving her to their assisted living facility. The choices of rooms were nice, and the price was not too bad, either. I think she would like it there. A great deal of why we are considering it is its proximity to where we live. It's so close that we can drive there in 10 minutes. The place is well-lit, modern, and it has a very nice dining area. The reception area is really nice, and the perks are nice, too. They even have a private dining area for birthdays or something like that, so if my mom can't get out, we can use the private dining area. They have a lot of activities. They have a theater room, bingo, game nights, and all kinds of different things. The place is really inviting. I met the chef, and he's a good dude. I've met a couple of the residents who are there, too, and they were really nice and very kind. The person we did the tour with was fantastic. We were supposed to be there at 4:30, but didn't get there until about 5:15. She was very kind. She waited and served us well. The rest of the staff, the ones I met, were also very kind and very cordial. They seemed really concerned about the people who lived there. I did not sample their food, but it smells delicious. They invited me to come up and have a bite to eat, and the dining room was full of smiling faces, so I think they did a good job."

"I toured Towne Club Windermere. It was fine, but I just didn't feel it was the one that my husband and I would want. They were very nice and very friendly, and it was fine. It's just not what I was looking for. I was looking for something much bigger, and I was looking for a more balcony area, screen porch, and stuff like that. It didn't have any of that stuff to offer."

"The ladies that run the Enrich Senior Living of Norcross were lovely people, but the location would be difficult for me to see my brother, because of the traffic going there. The room was extremely small, and that was the studio. They also have activities, but the number of people they interact with at any given time is much smaller, and that's due to COVID. The services they offer include help in clothing, bathing, and medications."

"My aunt is here. It's very good. They're friendly and attentive. Her room is roomy, quiet, and clean. The food looked OK."

"We toured Heartis Suwanee and it's one of those I liked the most. The building had multilayers to it, they're three to four stories. I like the units, how they looked, and the appliances themselves. But the multi-levels concern me the most, I'm not sure if the elevator workings would be favorable for my mom. The best thing that I liked was the newness of the units, and the least I liked was that it's a three-story building. The one individual that I talked to the day that I was there was very forthcoming, very responsive, and very positive. They had quite a few activities for the seniors, outdoor space, and other amenities like a salon. It's located close to hospitals, restaurants, the fire department, and all that kind of stuff."
