My grandmother who recently stayed there said she was really happy with the staff and the services provided by memorial manor; especially the physical therapy staff. It was great to know my grandmother was comfortable and happy through her challenging rehab. Thank you Memorial Manor.

I had the misfortune and fortune to stay at Memorial Manor. Basically day shift nurses and CNA's were okay...but there were some on the night shift that should not be around patients let alone people.... I was saddened to see how some patients were treated during those night hours. From a patient begging over and over again to be taken back to his room...and being totally ignored...I was told he wouldn't stay in his room... well that is no reason to ignore the man...at other times they refused to take him to his room and made him sleep in a recliner near the nurses station....other times I heard people crying out at night in pain, and no one attending them...once again ignoring the patient. I heard one night while I was in my wheel chair roaming the halls a woman on the phone telling someone she believed they were over dosing her father. I believe that could be possible... because more than once I had a night nurse try to give me my meds long before they were do, and if I would have taken them I would have overdosed myself....when a med is do every 8 hours...you do not try to give another dose 4 hours after patient has taken it...just because you want to get your rounds done before 10 pm.....most of the time you didn't get to sleep at all because of being woken by patients in pain, or CNA's coming in to to wake you up for some reason.... I held a beautiful 94 year old woman's hand as she cried, because no one would take her back to her room.... another time a lady was screaming into the hall for help,....and no one came... I had to call someone for her... Another time a woman missed her appointment because they didn't bother to tell her she had one.... her appointment was rescheduled... no biggie right....it wouldn't have been if I hadn't seen her at the nurses station being told off and given a hard time because she didn't go to her appointment... when I confronted those doing it to her, after I couldn't find the head nurse... they said they were not giving her a hard time... I told them yes you are...she was told earlier that day about the rescheduling....the woman then was so upset... she tells me... I have no one to go with me to my appointment, my son can't....etc. the fact is they the manor did not arrange for her to have a companion to her appointment and was now deliberately giving her a hard time. These are just some of the nightmares I witnessed and know is going on to this day... there were even times that they didn't even have a night supervisor working... I know for a fact because I got up one morning at 4 am and had to go to the nurses station and asked for a supervisor and was told there wasn't one for that evening. A woman in the room next to mine I know she made a big complaint when she got out of there for the same reasons as stated above. For all the wonderful nurses, CNA's and PT and OT workers there, it is a shame there are those who do work there that should not be in charge of patients or peoples well-being. All I can say is that if you end up there or put a family member there... please be careful, be watchful... show up any hour of day or night... and realize that sometimes things need to be checked and continually monitored when it comes to your health and that of your loved ones.

My 92 year old father had 3 major operations in 3 months during which time he was mostly bedridden. The hospital sent him here for rehab. 2½ weeks later, after minimal time walking even with assistance, he was sent home where he lives alone. Now, less than a week later, he has fallen 3 times requiring EMT's to be called to help him up. His legs are not strong enough to support him. He needed a lot more PT. When I, the daughter, tried to speak to the social worker/care manager she was never available. Twice I was told she would call me back. That never happened.

I spent three weeks at this facility after having double knee replacement surgery. The grounds are clean and very well kept. There is a sitting area for patients to sit next to the lake and watch nature pass by. Inside, the first thing I noticed is that there is no fowl smell that some facilities have. The floors and rooms were very clean. The nurses and staff were very professional at all times. Whenever I needed assistance they came right away-no long waiting to get to the rest room. There are daily and weekend activities: bingo, cooking, music etc. and a ice cream social on Saturday for the entire family. The food service department deserve ten stars! the food is not bland, but, tasty and a good variety of cultural flavors. The Physical Therapy room is well staffed with professionals that know their job well. The Occupational Therapy staff will help you with the simple things that are no longer as simple as they once were. This is an excellent, top notch facility and I highly recommend it!

My mom is now at Memorial Manor. It is wonderful. She is thrilled to be there. She enjoys all the activities. They have bingo, they have Friday Happy Hour where they have a guy come in and play the piano with all kinds of songs, they have a game room, and they have movies that they play at a certain time. Also, Mom is getting physical therapy, even though it is in a nursing home. They also take them outside. There is a pond with turtles, fish, and ducks, and they get to feed the wildlife. Mom is in a double room, but there is no other person at this time. She is very happy there. We're making it her place. Memorial Manor has a rehab facility and a nursing home on the same property. It is like a Y-shaped building, and one part is for rehab and the other part is a nursing home. Everybody has been very friendly and helpful. Every time that Mom needed something to go to the bathroom or whatever, they have always been right there to help her. The place doesn't smell; it is very clean. I only have positive things to say about it. However, it is an older facility. It doesn't maybe have as many of the newer kinds of facilities that some of the newer homes have, but other than that, everything there is fine. Also they have no limit on the visiting hours. You can come at any time.

I was at Memorial Manor for rehab. The facility was clean, food was excellent and 99% of the staff were very caring people. The rehab providers were the best! My only criticism is some of the staff were very lax.....no rules! My ID bracelet fell off after a few days, and I was told to put it in the drawer. Not one person ever checked it again. Unfortunately, the medications were given haphazardly also! I was given the wrong meds more than once. My roomate needed a pain pill and it was given to me instead. She suffered for another hour, before they realized their mistake. To me this is unexceptable. I am glad to be home after my stay. The noise level at night was almost unbearable. Complaints mostly fell on deaf ears. Maybe that is why they didn't notice!

Memorial Manor was amazing. It was clean and it didn't smell. Everybody that took care of him was really nice. They had a counselor who talked to me and she was amazing. She was very informative and she took her time to have small talks with the patients to be familiarized with them. I thought it was really nice. When he needed a wheelchair or anything, they were right there. It was a pretty good experience.

My mother stayed here for one month. I noticed that it was clean and each staff member was always helpful and friendly. Whenever I asked for an update on my mother, someone would go and find her chart and go over everything with me. When it came time to take mom home, everyone was waving to her and saying, "Bye, my friend." It was like I was rolling out Betty White!
