The lady who ran Pampered Parents lives in the place even though she didn't have to. She was absolutely fabulous and even won the assisted living last year for Palm Coast. It was an absolutely beautiful home, well-decorated and really extensive. A lot of the times, places that are dealing with the elderly since they're incontinent, they have plastic or mismatched furniture, but she was a former designer and her home was beautiful. What I really like was that she color-coordinated things for the older folks. So if you went and looked at the property, you would remember it because she used a lot of red, the girls that work there wore red uniform and her business cards had red. So when I asked my mom which place she liked most, she would remember the place that's red with a little doggy. She sits a lot with the people, the food was absolutely fabulous. She had fresh fruits and vegetables in the fridge, she took people out, they play cards and games, she had her house decorated for Christmas. And it was very affordable too, she was only charging $3,000 for a month. That's where I would put my mom if I had a choice, but it's too far away from us. One room was like a Victorian room, it was floral and very feminine. Another room was the magnolia room, if you're in this room, your plates, cups and slippers, everything would be yellow. The resident even have bells and whistles that went around their wrist, and it was also yellow. She thought of everything, it was fabulous.
