I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The administrator, Mr Michael, promises things that is not willing to do, so i do not believe him anymore that he tries to make sure the residents are comfortable and that they have all the attention or basic needs met. Only until i go there in person is when things get done, if I call they brush you off with yes we will do it, but it never gets done. Not a facility dedicated to the care of the people there. I think the JUST HAVE A JOB THERE they dont care!. Very different when you care!. Nurses are ok. The food the residents say is ok. Lots of sugar mash potatoes, drinks with sugar, hamburgers with white bread, spaghetti and many people there have diabetes so they should eat more vegetables, less fruit, less carbohydrates, less sugary drinks!! they simply dont care. They have the mentality I JUST WORK HERE for a PAYCHECK!

If you have any other options for a skilled nursing facility, take it. My late husband was transferred to The Parks (now Bedrock) after a hospital stay for pneumonia. While some of the staff were absolutely wonderful and caring (Miss Jackie, my husband’s aide was wonderful and Miss Sharanna worked tirelessly to get him discharged in spite of significant incompetence by others) the facility itself was appallingly mismanaged and in a severe state of disrepair. There were no chairs in the rooms (for patients or visitors), and furniture / televisions / etc. were all broken. Food that had been spilled on the floor stayed there for over a week to give you a sense of cleanliness. Worse than that, though, was the mismanagement. For the entire last week of his stay, the systems were down and printers were broken. All discharge paperwork had to go through a single person who was clearly overworked and repeatedly made mistakes in paperwork, leading to unnecessary extra days where my husband stopped receiving any physical or occupational therapy but was not allowed to leave. We still do not have the discharge paperwork - we were forced to leave without it because it was taking so long that the facility we were transferring to was not going to be able to do intake on him if we waited any longer.

I would be less worried if on nights/weekends calls were answered by staff. This is an ongoing problem with making calls during this time period as well as holidays. It’s a hit or miss if they answer. Other than that my father has amazing CNA’s that take good care of him such as Gina, Donna, Cossimire. Violet and Rosemie that come to mind now. Nurses Maria, Marilyn and David are very professional and understanding of my father’s condition. A special thanks to Norma Alvarez (or Alvarado) his wound care nurse since last September. She is on top of his wound care and a true professional. Keisha, Deana, and Angelica are always so helpful and welcoming. My father has been here a few years and they have become family. It’s not perfect here, needs a lot, lot of upgrading. Not too much communication among staff as patient care is concerned. But we constantly visit and know he is being cared for in a good way. It’s better than a few other facilities that I know of.

This is a horrible/terrible facility to put your loved ones in. My dad was a resident there and never received his covid vaccination like the other residents did. He was sent home on Friday Jan 22,2021 and I was called in Saturday afternoon by the assistant director of nursing that he tested positive for covid. My 11 year old son and I have been hugging and having up close contact with him in our home. This is unacceptable!!!!! I wouldn't do a dog like that. This place never answer the phone after the receptionist goes home at 5:00 and the patients don't get there proper assistance when needed. The residents have their call light on for over an hour Or more. This place had over 20 positive covid cases at one time and having all the elderly residents should have been a priority to be vaccinated. I repeat again do not put your family in this negligent dump!!!!!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

A dear friend of mines mother was put in this facility approximately 6 months ago, she was diagnosed with Parkinsons, I was her caretaker for a year or so along with her daughter. The Parks has a hand full of caring and loving CNA's, one nurse to 30 patients and the patients do not get the care that they deserve. My mom fell because after ringing for someone for over 30 mins, to come and take her to bingo she got out of bed, struggled to walk to the hall where she fell and broke her hip, the caretaker got her into her wheel chair and rolled her down to bingo, with a broken hip she played for just over 30 minutes before someone said oh, she needs to be xrayed..I would not recomend this place to someone I didn't like, let alone a loved one... I could go on but I'm sure you have the picture. When mom first got there she was not incognigent, but they would put her in a diaper so as not to have to take her to the toilet, this just crushed her spirit... I call her mom and she told everyone I was her daughter but she was my best friends mother.. Mom died Friday, May 4th, my heart aches ... After hip surgery she was sent back to the hospital because the nursing home allowed her to dehydrate severly before her daughter, a nurse demanded that they hospitalized her...of which she never really recovered from.
