Rooms clean & large. I did have a private room & bathroom. The other rooms were two people shared a bathroom. The food actually was tasty. The staff was wonderful. The nurses the CNA’s the aids physical therapist all were so caring and kind. They would come in just to check on me or talk a little. I was there for a month for rehabilitation when I got there I couldn’t walk. I walked out a month later the Physical Therapist, Occupational therapist also were great. I actually enjoyed my stay and everything was clean and sparkling. They cleaned my room and bathroom every day. The main doctor Dr Khuddus, I never met & had no wish to. Finally Dr Barnet came in. He examined me and diagnosed me in 10 minutes and prescribed medicine and that’s when I started getting better. I would go there again.

The receptionist is great she is the only one that will speak to you when I was there .The bathrooms up front is horrible as Hell. Walking threw this facility the floors are dirty and filthy. The room I was visiting has blood stand on them .Don't bring your love one to this facility.

I was there for rehabilitation the Staff were very friendly and the therapy staff were stupendous and friendly Jeremy Dakota Nicole Christine enjoyed their jobs and went out of their way to help all the residents the food was great you got to choose what you wanted to eat and I actually gained weight there. Tina the CNA always had a smile on her face and loved to hear my jokes and the nursing staff went out of their way to make sure that you had your medicine on time I would recommend the plaza for people who love their family because the plaza treated everybody like family it was very clean the rooms were cleaned every day by the housekeeping staff

My mother has been at THe Plaza for 2 months in memory care wing. Administration is a nightmare!!! Food is good. Room is clean and kept clean. Shorthanded where staffing is concerned. CNAs assisting her have been kind and helpful. Beware of your rights and the social service people. The administration and social workers have no communication with each other and, Robert(social worker) is horrible!!!

The only thing good about this facility is the wound care team and there are a few outstanding nurses. I arrived at the facility one morning to assist my wife with eating breakfast. I was horrified to discover that she had been spitting up blood and a lot of it. I don't know how the staff could possibly have missed this as her food tray was right in front of her and there was blood all over her front. She also started bleeding through her nose. She continued caughing up a lot blood and bleeding through the nose all morning. No seemed to be alarmed about this until a week later when she was brought to the emergency room at Shands. I would love to share my suspicion about this incident but I know The Plaza management would never allow it to be seen.

My mother was at The Plaza in 2019 in the "A Villa" (short term rehab). This is, without comparison, the best facility in Gainesville. A couple of years prior, she'd been in another facility, and we'd had a negative experience. As a result, I was demanding and particular. But the staff accommodated me and made me feel welcome. The therapists were excellent, as well. Even the food was good! There were enough private rooms that my mom could have one to herself, and it even had a nice view.

My mother is in the The Plaza rehab facility and I feel very happy she is there. The nurses take care of her with loving care in addition to the professionalism and expertise of seasoned nurses. She receives physical therapy every day. She has a group of friends to engage with and they have activities as well. There’s no problem visiting. My mother is well fed and cared for in a clean, peaceful and beautiful setting.

I had my father here for rehab. The care that was provided was outstanding. The staff cares about the residents. They pay attention to detail. Yes, his entire stay wasn't perfect. However, all my concerns were addressed by management. I recommend this place to anyone. .

Place is very short staffed, some employees could be more helpful and considerate. More attention should be paid to the people staying there, at first it was good, now all the staff is different people, no where near as pleasant and helpful as the people before. Have left messages for financial assistance, have yet to hear from them. The place is clean and the therapy people are great. Disappointed with the rest. Hope it improves soon.

My mother is at The Plaza Health & Rehab (Formerly Gainesville Health Care Center - Florida). My friend's mom had been there and a guy I know had his mother-in-law there for years, and he said it was clean, and they took care of them good. Every time I've seen Mom she hasn't been wet, and she's eating because she hadn't been eating too good. The hospital had suggested this facility. I talked to a few of the staff members, and one lady said she's been there 12 years, one said she's been there four years. Right before their shift is over, they will do walking rounds, and it helps for continuity of care. They will say things like, "As soon as we hang up, that will be my first priority." Things like that make you feel like they're hearing you. Then I'll call back later and find out they did take care of something or whatever. The food is good. She is on a pureed diet and I tasted one that looked kind of odd, but then I realized it was barbecued chicken and it was good, it just looked funny. She's getting therapy.

Trying to get information from this facility about admitting our mother is worse than"pulling teeth!" No one has the same answers-now we are being told that there is a waiting list for long term care when the other day we were told "we are trying to get patients in here!" Who owns this place anyways??? This is such a run around that it makes us wonder....

I am the eldest granddaughter of a relative that was in Gainesville Health Care facility. Yesterday my grandmother passed away at the facility, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone of them were not only professional, extremely sympathetic and provided the utmost care for her, they genuinely had a special connection with my grandmother. I also saw that connection as I observed the staff with other residents at the facility as well. This was the second time that my family had to placed my grandmother in this facility's care. So upon her having to come back again, my family had no doubt they wanted her back with this outstanding staff. The facility itself is a welcoming environment as soon as you drive on the property. When you walk through the doors, you get that sense of this is a great place for your loved one. It is never easy saying goodbye to a loved one. I was in awe of how great the staff members were, and I could go on and on. So to all of the staff that knew and took such great care for my grandmother, each of you are amazing. My family and I thank you for making my grandmother's transition to her heavenly home great! We cannot thank you all enough for providing excellent care and customer service.

This place is a nightmare. Starts off friendly but within 3 days the nightmare begins. My only suggestion is to run if Gainesville Health Care is mentioned.

We used Gainesville Health Care Center for my mother. My mother had been in their hospital, which had their own hospice provider for the hospital system. They were wonderful. I felt like they provided a lot in addition to hospice. They were very prompt in addressing whatever concerns or needs we had. They were very nice and helpful to me because I was kind of alone then; I had come there from California to take care of my mother. They were great. I very much liked them.

To all who are thinking of putting a family member in this facility in Gainesville Florida. WARNING!!! the facility is in concert with the superior towing company . they have several policy's depending upon with whom you speak with . I am a 65yr old disabled combat veteran ,my vehicle is clearly marked as such and it has a lift gate on it for my scooter.I was parked in a legal handicapped parking spot.I'm sure they don't care about what's right and wrong but I do.....I recommend not placing a family member there unless you're choices are as limited as mine are .When they can't allow a person time enough to get a parking pass and get back out to the vehicle there's something wrong with this picture .

My neighbor has dementia, and we placed her in Gainesville Health Care Center. I go there like once a week and they are very good from what I see. The surroundings and rooms are good. They are building another facility, and they are going to move her later. They are nice. It is an older place, but it is clean. She is in a shared room. The staff's ethics is great and from what I see, the food is good too. They have all kinds of activities. They have excursions, if they want. They have bingo and all kinds of different things. I think my neighbor is satisfied.
