I am staying in Pine Grove Apartments in Gainesville. I mainly like the area of town because it's close to shopping and to my doctor's office. I have an electric wheelchair, and I can ride it to just about everything I need. It's that close by. I have a studio, and I love it. It's fine for me because I don't want a big space. It's independent living, so the tenants themselves do the activities and stuff themselves. They provide us with help, but not activity-type things. We do that within the group of people who live here. We have arts and crafts, different activities, bingo, and game day. It's also on a little lake where you can go fishing, so it is really a nice residence. We also do our own food. There's a library, and we have our own private gardens. We're assigned to a garden space where we can grow vegetables, flowers, or whatever we want to grow outside. They pay the first $95 of your electric bill, and the Wi-Fi is free. We have the internet for free. The staff's fine, and the place is clean. I think the value for money is very fair. They have a free emergency alert button that they give each resident. It doesn't cost us anything. In case we fall or something, there's a doctor who comes in. You can sign up with the doctor, and he comes to your apartment. You don't have to go out to him if you don't want to, which is a good thing. There's also a veterinarian and a barber who comes here. They cover just about all your needs.
