I visited Newark Manor. My dad was also there eight years ago. It's nice, small, and nothing fancy, but they care for their patients. Everything looked very good. The appearance was nice and clean. They have an exercise area.

We toured Newark Manor Nursing Home. It was a clean facility. Everyone spoke as you walked past and smiled. Also, the residents who were there greeted us and said hello. So, I got the feeling that it was a good environment. The staff was very knowledgeable about her job. She took us into her office first, sat us down, and went over the application process and what the facility offers. We did check their dining area, and it was suitable.

Newark Manor Nursing Home was a smaller place. They had about 67 beds. It was very old and needed some updating and remodeling. The cost was less than what we're paying now, but I had some grave concerns with them. During COVID, they lost nearly half of their residents, which was a big red flag for me. The lady who took us around was extremely pleasant. She was an older woman and had been there for a long time. We like the size. We love the location because it's 10 minutes from my house.

Newark Manor is excellent and worked well with Alzheimer’s patients. They’re very caring to mom. It’s clean, and I like where it is; it's near my home and a university, and there are plenty of things to do. The Alzheimer’s Unit is on the third floor, so it’s very secure.
