I toured Agape Home For The Elderly. The owner's wife was there. She was very nice and very personable. She seemed knowledgeable. She showed me all of her credentials that she had up on the wall. Then she gave us a walk-through, and she showed us the room. The room was a decent size for what my cousin would require. Then she introduced us to some of the people that were there, and they seemed very introverted. I was hoping that my cousin would be able to get to a place where there was a little bit more interaction with the community. The two ladies who were there were sitting in the wheelchair, and we walked right by them. I said hi, and they just looked up. So that part of the community didn't seem to help benefit my cousin. My cousin is willing to speak to people, but then the people would have to at least converse with him. They have availability for the private room, not for the shared room. As for amenities, the staff said that she has a lady who comes in and sings. Then she has a volunteer guy who comes and just talks, sort of like a 'big brother.' My cousin had a big brother from the time he was 12 until he was like 18, so I thought those were good points to make. They also have three meals a day and snacks.
