We found MayFlower Care Home for my sister, and she moved in during October. The corridors and the doorways are nice and wide. It is clean. It is a pleasant place. They have an alarm system that goes on at 8:00 p.m. so that if the door opens, there is a call, and they have to explain what the issue was. This is a residential board and care. It is somewhere between assisted living and a nursing home. It is for those people who don't need a nursing home yet, but really need more than assisted living. My sister loves the food so much there. It is like a home setup. She does get some exercise, but at this point there are not that many residential activities. I am impressed the most with the amount of natural light and the width of the hallway. I looked up a number of places that were really not set up for wheelchairs. This place is easy to get around for my sister. The bathroom's doors are nice and wide. It is better set up than a lot of the handicapped stalls in certain facilities. There is a help button in each of the rooms and the bathroom.
