I am very disappointed with my experience at Devonshire Elderly Care. As the POA, I entrusted my good friend to this place and she was housed but that's it. The facilities have deteriorated from when I brought her, she got zero stimulation which caused her memory to deteriorate, the food was substandard and certainly not healthy and the staff gave excuses about why she missed Dr appointments after the fact with reasons like, "the car broke down" or "a flat tire" or a kid, or parent or Aunt was sick etc. I moved her a few days ago and am so glad I did. My dear friend LOVES her new place! My sincere advice if money is an issue is apply for the ALW program so that you can afford the best. My friend adjusted very quickly to her new place with the new professional staff and has commented numerous times about how good the food is at her new place, how much she loves all the activities that were missing at Devonshire and she is so much happier and taken care of. My only regret is that I left her at Devonshire as long as I did.

Devonshire Elderly Care looked nice. They had good amenities set up as far as the bathrooms were properly set up. Everywhere was safe for people to walk and there was wheelchair access. It didn't look like anything too special though. There wasn't anything that made it stand out from other places, but overall, the person who gave the tour was nice. The rooms were clean. The overall place looked clean. I didn't see a dining area, but I saw a kitchen and it looked nice. They had TVs and stuff. I didn't see much activities-wise. There was a lounge area, but there wasn't anything else. There was a place for like if people brought their grandkids, then they could play there, but that was about it. The place was pretty simple. The rooms were not super big, but enough for one person. There were hardwood floors, so it was nice, but nothing like crazy. The person during the tour was nice. I didn't see anything that looked shady. She explained stuff well.
