"We were looking for a place for my uncle but as of the moment we are still in the process of getting him a spot here. He's going through having a physical therapy as of now and also working on the papers to fill out for him since we decided that this is where he will go. We like the place specially my mother. She wants to put my uncle in a comfortable place. My uncle has friends there so it would be a good idea if he stay there after the therapy. He's 93 and alone and he's ready now to get a little help and stay in an assisted living facility and not be alone in his house."

"We toured The Harvest at Fowler. What's nice is that it's small. There were few residents. It's very personal. Alex did a nice job and he was very helpful with information. The rooms were nice and clean. They have their own bathrooms. It's an open dining area. It's nice."

"My stepmother-in-law was here for just a very short time, but they were wonderful there. We liked them. It's a small one. It only had like 12 residents on her side, and then the memory care area had 12 patients on that side. So, it was very home-like. The rooms and everything were very nice. The food was very good there. I would recommend them. The workers were just really good. They were very friendly and very helpful. They would take her meals to her. They would take care of her there in her bed and were very kind to her. The place was very clean and very pretty. They had some nice outdoor areas that people could sit in that were lovely. In every way, it was a very sweet little place."

"We toured Elim Place. It's a fine place for advanced memory loss. What we didn't like about it was the residents had to share a bathroom, not attached to their room. The rooms were a good size and they were clean. It's just the rooms don't have bathrooms. The staff member was very nice, but she wasn't able to give us a lot of information. She wasn't very informative, but she just kind of showed us the place. We saw their dining area, but nobody was eating at the time, and it was nice. The facility was old."

"Vintage Gardens Assisted Living was a 2-story building. I did not see too many residents walking around or in the common areas while I was touring around. The place was clean and the rooms were nice. The dining area was nice, too. They had water available all day for the residents. They encouraged their water intake. It was more restaurant-style dining with separate tables. The staff was good and the residents that I saw looked happy."

"My mom moved into Valley Christian Home. The facility was clean. They were friendly, very helpful, and informative. The people there were just outstanding. When I went in there, they were very welcoming. They welcomed my mom. I couldn't ask for anything better. My mom has only been there a couple of days, but she said the food is good. I was there when they sat down and asked her what she liked and didn't like. They kind of specialize in what she wants, so it was very good. They have an activities director, and he's pretty awesome. He comes in, gets my mom, and takes her down to do activities. They have bingo, events, church, and exercises."

"Hacienda Rehabilitation is spectacular and really nice. Everybody's friendly and helpful. The place is clean, and when you walk in, it doesn't have a smell. My dad's not too active, but they have people that come in and do music, sing, and bring in entertainment. There are also different religious services."

"My husband stayed at Kings Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for about two months. They took care of him. I have no complaints. The staff members were very nice. My husband said the food was okay. The facility was clean. It was nice for a nursing home."

"My wife moved into the Easy Living Senior Home. It's closer to home than some of the others. It's very good. There are only six clients here, so they get better attention. It's just a closer-knit atmosphere. The general care is as good as the previous home my wife was in. It's an overall better experience for her and the people visiting. It was very clean and modern. They cook food to order. There are no real activities. Most of the patients aren't able to do much or lead an active life around the house. The caregivers are great because of the general positive attitude they show and the care they give to their clients and visitors. The food is excellent."

"My mom is currently at Kingsburg Care Center. We've been very impressed with it. It doesn't smell bad. We thought we would have trouble getting her in but she is enjoying it. She has some memory issues and they seem to deal with them very well. We are very pleased. She's clean, she's fed, and she's happy. She likes the food and she is putting on weight. The staff has been good. We had a little bit of a hard time starting, just because they wanted us to sign responsibility for her and they were pretty persistent about it, but we didn't want to do that."

"I'm in Sierra Village. It's been a very good experience. The price is significantly better than other places and from beginning to end there, they make you feel like you're worth something. They do everything they can to make the transition as easy as possible. I have nothing negative to say about them. I'm very pleased with them. The staff is friendly and helpful to a tee. Anytime you need something, they're as quick as they can be. You could either rent a unit with a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom. I'm in independent living, so I cook my own food. They have various activities during the week that you can partake in, and they have special activities as well. They are smart enough that when they built that place, no one has to go to a second floor. Everybody lives on one-floor ground level. Each of those housing has its own special arrangement. They are built next to a school because they hope to have the students interact with the older folks. Considering that the cost of living is in the General Bay Area, this is an excellent cost."

"Bethel Lutheran Home is the closest one to where I live. It's only like a 15-minute drive. I have lived in Kingsburg for years and know many people who put their grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles here at Bethel Lutheran, and have only had good things to say. And when I came to check on it, I loved the layout, and I loved the fact that if my mother went from having problems more than she did, she could be in the same place, and they would just move her to another area. My mother has just moved in, and this is going to be her second week, and she's enjoying it. She was not happy that this was happening, but it's almost like from the day that they moved her in, the people came in and told her, 'This is going on. Can I show you where it's at?' And it was great. She had many people coming and checking on her making sure she knew where to go and helping her out with things. Our family was just there all the time to constantly be with her or bringing her home, so that it wasn't such a big scare to her that we just dumped her in there. But the thing that got her was that people there were constantly checking to help her out and to show her around. One of the times that I had her sleep overnight, and then as we were talking after, she said, 'I'm ready to go home now.' So that was great that she was willing on her own to want to go. She was comfortable and happy there and the angry look on her face was gone. We went to lunch with my mother on her second day, and the food was good. My mother is always saying how good the food is. She's enjoying it. And my sister and I both went, and she liked it. Their building is what impressed us the most. Nothing looks old. This has been in this town for as long as I can remember, and I'm in my 60s and I was probably 10 or so when I was first aware of this place even existed. The inside is nice. It's not fancy, but it is clean, and everything is kept up."

"My mom was in this care center for about 4 months and is finally coming home today. My experience with the staff was amazing and was always greeted with a smile. The food was left to be desired but they have plans to improve. The therapists was what helped my mom learn how to walk again and at 88 years old it was quite difficult. As she pushed through it tho she was successful. The CNA’s were over the top in caring for my mom and making sure she was comfortable. Anyways, I would recommend this care center to anyone looking for a place for their loved one."
