"Excellent nursing care. All the staff there is very polite and quick to answer the call lights. They show how much they care about the residents and the CNAs go above and beyond to their job and make sure every resident has the best care. "

"This is a 99 bed facility that is part of a family owned and managed organization with three other locations; this is the nicest of their facilities. The grounds are nicely manicured with ample parking. The entrance allows for front door drive-up patient loading and unloading. The wife of a friend spent her last days at this facility. He always spoke highly of the quality of care she received. The staff was always friendly and remembered his name. The kitchen was clean with a varied menu; but I didn’t see any of the meals as lunch was over. The patient rooms are semi-private and clean; with very little odors. There were patients sitting in wheelchairs along the hallway and they looked clean and content. "

"The floor plan for this facility is one of the most efficient I've seen; separating public and private areas; great for security and patient privacy. The main entrance is a separate section of the building that houses a pleasant lobby with a piano that leads into a large hallway that houses the business offices, physical therapy rooms, and dining room. They also offer an ice cream parlor and beauty salon. This hallway leads into the nurses' station that is flanked by three pods of patient rooms. The rooms are semi-private, clean, and plenty of light. Patients were either napping or sitting in their wheelchairs. I didn't detect any odors. "

"This is an older facility that is part of a family owned and managed organization with three other locations. I found it disconcerting that I was given permission to roam about without a guide being that I was a stranger. They were hosting a concert in the dining room for patients and family. I detected some mild urine odors in the hallways. The rooms are semi-private and dark. It was mid-afternoon when I visited, so many of the patients were napping. The posted menu was standard fare you'd find in a hospital. This is an ok facility that deals with mostly Medical patients. "

"Staff was very friendly and gave a nice tour of the facility and amenities available to residents. Place seem clean and residents seemed happy and well taken care of. My father will be coming soon."

"My mom moved into Gateway Post Acute. They are doing well, considering the circumstances with my mom. Right now, she's in the short term, which is probably going into the long term. They keep us informed on everything that goes on. Sometimes the food is really good, and other times it's horrible. I've been there several times when my mom was eating. My mom has therapy every day. They offer some Bible study classes. They give you a calendar, and each week they have different activities that the clients can go to if they want. Medicare pays for it. My mom's room is clean and small. This facility does not have the smell that some of them do. There's no odor there when you walk in. We were impressed with that."

"My friend is in Kingsburg Care Center. It got off to a rough start, but they finally stepped up, got a private room with a TV, and everything is going along great. They've got a physical therapist that's doing five days a week trying to get his movement back. He's been excellent, patient, caring, and knows his stuff. The facility itself is not really attractive, but the staff is excellent."

"When I visited the facility the first thing I notice is the staff. They are really friendly. The facility is really clean and organized. The people that live there seem so happy. The inside is so nice and comfy. At Palm Village they have so many amenities to offer their residents. For example they have a fitness center for the residents use so they may stay fit. They have the option of using the wii also . They have a 50 style diner for the residents to eat at. They have laundry and food centers and a gaming area that includes a pool table so if the residents get word they may play. The best thing I thought is them having is the Chapel and Beauty Salon. The housing is great they offer diffent styles for any need whether it be assisted living, nursing or normal. They go from studio to 3 bedrooms. I have nothing bad to stay about this facility. "

"This is a for-profit assisted living and skilled nursing facility that is one of 8 facilities owned and operated by this corporation. It is located in an older building (the outside is a little dated), but the inside is clean and appears to have been refurbished at some point. They proudly display their 5 Star Rating from Medicare in their lobby. All of the facilities owned by this corporation that I've visited are clean and appear to be well managed. Some residents were sitting in wheelchairs in the hallways near the nurse's station. The menus posted were typical fare and varied. The temperature was comfortable and I didn't detect any odors. The only negative was that I had to search for someone to give me a tour. "

"My mom was in Sierra View Homes Retirement Community, in their assisted living about a year and a half ago. They have three levels of care, they've got independent apartments, assisted living, and skilled nursing. And then they have a distinct memory care inpatient unit as well. My overall experience is clouded by my anguish at putting my mother there. It was a very, very dark time. But on the very first day that I admitted her there, as soon as I left, she went into the shower in her room and slipped and fell and broke her wrist. And I was really upset because she was by herself, but this stuff happens. As soon as mom went in there, two and a half weeks later, COVID came. And so they couldn't eat in the dining room, and they couldn't do activities, and they were stuck in their rooms. She was stuck in her room, and then they would come and do activities in her room. They did the best they could with the COVID restrictions. Everybody was kind of learning on their feet. They had activities, that's why we wanted her to go there. She was going to go on bus tours and trips, and none of that happened. They have a library, they have church services, and they have a very beautiful dining room that people could eat in pre-COVID."

"One of my grandparents had an extended stay at Bethel Lutheran Home. I remember some very fond memories of the place and the experience. Many people often stereotype assisted living facilities as being very bureaucratic and often depressing. With Bethel Lutheran Home, not so. This place was clearly a cut above. In fact the term "facility" doesn't even describe the place. It was so much more inviting, warm, and homelike with a very relaxed atmosphere. I remember all the nurses my grandfather had there because all of them greeted me personally at each visit, and they remembered him and myself and pretty much all of my family on a first name basis. It seemed like every time I went to visit him there were several people who would stop by just to ask how things were going, even simply how my grandfather was feeling. At the same time, a more independent lifestyle is encouraged and patients are not smothered or treated like farm animals. It's for this wonderful balance between the two that I highly recommend the Bethel Lutheran Home for you or your loved ones. "
