The Cottage at Artesia Gardens was a good place. I had a good experience with the lady who gave me the tour. She was very nice and very understanding. They serve three meals and snacks. The rooms were clean. There were studio rooms and shared rooms.

I really like The Cottage at Artesia Gardens. They're very friendly. We're hoping it would be a good fit for my mother. Outside is beautiful. Some of the rooms are a little bit older, but they are re-doing them. This community seems really friendly. I think it is a really nice place. I like that it is a small community. It's not a chain; it's small. They seem to be very caring about their patients.

The Cottage at Artesia Gardens was very nice and very clean. It had more outdoor areas for people. I would say a good 90% of their clients that are in there are wheelchair-bound and are not very interactive, and it is too much money for what she has available. She did have a lunch while she was there. There were people outside in their patio kind of garden area. It has a lot of things that most facilities have like a TV room. The rooms were just regular rooms. I think they allowed televisions, but they preferred not because it didn’t get the clients out of their rooms.

The Cottage at Artesia Gardens is just three blocks from my house. My dad has been there for about four months now. He shares a room with another resident. Everything's fine in there. They have doctors that come in to check the patients regularly.

The mother and son who run this organization have been involved in the memory care business for over 15 years. A renovation which took place a few years ago has allowed for Artesia Gardens to blossom and prosper as a up-and-coming community. On one visit, I saw a caregiver calm a man by validating his feelings. Apparently, the man believed that someone had stolen his wallet. Instead of telling him that no such wallet existed, the caretaker, asked the person with dementia several open-ended questions. This allowed for the person with dementia to share this feelings, concerns, and emotions with her. It gave me a feeling that Richman Gardens takes pride in selecting employees who are compassionate.
