Assisted Living Communities in Ogden, UT

"We're already in Haven Creek Assisted Living. We get a doctor who comes in every Tuesday, goes around and talks to everybody, and sees how they're doing. The CNAs and the nurses are all very helpful and very friendly. The meals are all right and they're nutritious. They're made the best they can for everybody. They take into account who's diabetic and what they can eat and what they can't eat. When we moved in, they came and talked to us about our particular likes, dislikes, and stuff like that. It is comfortable. The staff is very good, very friendly, and very helpful. They got games and different types of yoga and stuff like that. It's really, really good. It is just sometimes, you have something scheduled on the menu and they didn't get it delivered, so they substitute."

"The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff are exceptionally caring, and show love and concern. Meals are full of nutrition and healthy. Environment is warm and loving."

"I toured Chancellor Gardens completely. They have part of it that they're renovating. They're doing a big renovation there, but the memory care unit was not being renovated at this time. It's a very nice facility. They had a nice dining hall and I looked at a couple of rooms there that were very nice, very spacious and very clean. I think it's a very nice facility. The staff was very nice. The woman who gave me the tour was super informative. I thought it was a very nice tour. I liked the facilities. Their private and shared rooms are the same room. If you had paid for a private room, you would have more space because it's designed to accommodate two beds for two different people. They gave me a box of cookies when I finished the tour and they were very, very good. The dining hall was very nice and very spacious. They had a shared kitchen. The kitchen served both the memory care and the other. The kitchen was in the middle, and then they had doors between so that they could serve the same food to both sides. That's very nice. I was impressed. The memory care unit, which was not under construction, was very well kept. The other side, the assisted living side, was under a large remodel. They had a lot of construction materials and such around, but other than that, it was still functioning and it was very nice, very spacious and outside of the construction, it was a very nice facility and it's going to be beautiful when they get finished with the construction. They had a gym, a very nice outdoor court, a TV room, and one room for private dining if you wanted to have a birthday party or something there for your loved one."

"The rooms are great and clean. Everyone has been so nice and helpful to make my Mom feel at home. She loves the entertainment and other activities. She even got to prune the roses which she loved. I would highly recommend this place."

"I visited The Gables of Brigham City Assisted Living. They were very kind and very informative. The facility itself was very clean and very well organized. The residents we saw were very happy to be there. The staff who assisted me was very friendly. The room was nice and very easy. The kitchen area, the dining area, the game room, and the activity room were all very nice. Their food was good. It was very clean, modern, and very well presented. It was very nice."

"We chose Creekside Senior Living for my ex-husband. It's almost like a five-star hotel. It has lots of things for people to do including a putting green, a pond with fish in it, barbecues, and an outside patio area with umbrellas over tables and a place where you can actually have a family get together. It's awesome. The food and their eating schedules are very good. They're open all day. Someone doesn't have to be there between six and nine for breakfast; they can have breakfast at three in the afternoon if they want. They've have snacks there 24/7. They have bingo, a movie room, and movie night. They take the residents to dinner and to movies on occasion. They will take them on scenic drives, they have men and women meetings, and they have church services. It's wonderful and it smells new."

"My mother will be moving into Legacy House of Bountiful. We are choosing it because of the services they offered and the location. The staff seemed very nice and confident. The room was nice and clean but it wasn't quite finished yet, and that's part of the reason we can't move in yet. They had activities, and meals and they had a cute residential dog. The ratio that they had of caregiver to a patient is 1 to 15 during the day and 1 to 30 at night seems understaffed to me."

"My friend has been in Aspen for about a month. Everything seems to be fine. The meals are served on time and hot. What she likes about it is the temperature control is remotely controlled. You could stay in bed and adjust the temperature whereas in the others you have to get in the wheelchair and go over the other side of the room. This is just digital and very convenient. The room is just fine. It is an older facility and not as new as the others she has been in. But the staff is good. "

"This is a nice facility. The area itself is a little questionable, but I've never heard of anything happening at this facility so I'm sure it's all right. When I visited, the staff seemed a little rushed, maybe a little stressed. But that did not stop at least one of them from helping a gentleman down the hall when he needed help, or for greeting a family of guests with smiles and questions when they came to visit their father and grandfather. These things, more than facility beauty and location make facilities wonderful and the residents feel loved. "

"We thought that Gardens Assisted living was clean. We visited several places, but this one is closer to our home so we can visit her more often. We liked this facility because it is only one level. We felt that it was very clean and affordably priced. It is the one we liked. When it came down to talk to my mother-in-law in living in an assisted care center, she was anxious to go where she already knew a few people. Good thing she happened to have a friend that was already there. We checked a couple of the rooms that were available when we first visited the facility. It is a studio room with a bed in the corner and a bathroom just adjacent to it. They have their own dining area, and they have the residents assigned to a particular table, so if someone was missing, they could check on the resident and see if everything is OK. We liked that because I thought it was a safety feature. They do have a calendar every month where they have movies and bingo. The families sometimes come in and do musical performances. They usually have movies once or twice during the afternoon. During good weather, they take the residents for van rides and let them out to buy things that they like. "

"I have always thought that this facility was great. The staff seems friendly and helpful, and always goes out of their way to assist the residents. At the other care center we considered for my grandfather, the staff really seemed like they didn't care about the residents and generally came off as mean and thoughtless. Not the case here! My grandfather hasn't had a single complaint about the facility or staff and says that he enjoys it there very much. The activities and food provided for the residents are also top notch. My family and I have never had any problems going to visit him. Everything seems clean at Stoney Brook, they really run a tight ship. If my grandmother or another relative or friend in the area had need of an assisted care facility, I would definitely recommend this one. "

"My brother has moved into Our House of Ogden. The rooms and everything are perfect for him. They have a dining room, which is not just an automated kitchen or anything like that. It's a regular dining room where they have individual tables. The overall pleasantness of the facilities is perfect. They have nurses right now. They even have a nurse that goes in and checks on him during the night while he is sleeping to make sure his oxygen is on him. They also go in and wake him up in the morning so that he can get up and move around. Everything about that place is excellent. I said, "Reserve a room for me. I may just sell my house and move out there myself." It is so, so nice. The room is perfect. It is just the right size for my brother. He has a place for his recliner, which makes him very happy. It has a sink. We were able to buy him a small refrigerator so that we could have his goodies and everything on hand for him for when he needs them. His sleeping place is just off of the front room area. The front room and the bedroom area are all one great big room that has been divided or sectioned off. It is close to his bathroom. The atmosphere out there is just wonderful. He could leave his door open during the day out into the hallway, and everybody who was walking up and down the hallway would say, "Hi, how are you doing today?" It is fantastic for him. It really is because he has never been one to make a lot of friends. He came from an area where it was detrimental to his health and everything for a senior citizen to live, and so for him, this is a whole new world that has opened up for him. He loves it. My brother is a very picky person, and every single day he raves about the food being so good. This place is equal to what every other place was charging for him to stay there, and with him being a VA, retired and everything like that, it is just perfect. It is comparable to everything else."

"The people were very nice when they toured me there. I liked the food when we ate lunch. They allow for pets I like. The one bedroom room was really spacious. The room was very clean. I like the activities they do for the residents they seem to like them. "

"This facility, like all the Beehive Home facilities through the state, is excellent. The staff really know what they're doing. They talk with the residents and provide love and companionship and care. I know a resident here who especially loves the exercise sessions. She says they help clear her head. They're also invigorating to her body. Whenever they're finished with the stretches, her cheeks are rosy red and she's smiling. She can't do much from anything but a chair, but the staff know plenty of exercises for sitting down, which suit her just fine. It's just another way the staff gives the residents the best quality of life possible because you should be able to laugh and smile at any age. "
