"When the doctors told mother that she needed to have sitters or enter assisted living, we reached out to Fred and Martha at The Orchard. Upon visiting the facility and seeing the staff in operation, we knew this was the place for our mother. The facilities are new, clean and well laid out. The bedrooms are nice sized. The gathering areas are modern and inviting. The meals are wonderful, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Mother loves her new home and the friends she has made. Without reservations I highly suggest visiting The Orchard before you make decisions about the care of your loved one."

"We toured Fellowship Home at Brookside. Overall, our tour experience was positive. The staff seemed friendly, nice, accommodating, professional, and caring. They helped me find a room, and overall, a pleasant experience. The facility seemed nice, clean, and really kind of what you would expect."

"My parents have been residents of Langdale Place for over 6 months now. Dad has dementia, mom was the caregiver but could no longer do it. I brought them to Valdosta. Move in was smooth and the staff was very very helpful. Staff members are very sincere and hardworking. Our experience with Langdale Place has been excellent. Mom participates in activities weekly [activities are avaliable almost everyday] and best of all is able to stay with dad in an assisted care setting. "

"My niece is living in a shared room at Lake Erma, and the room looks clean. They help her. She likes it because it wasn’t like a nursing home and she could get out whenever she wanted to and leave. "

"Grace Manor is an assisted living facility for the elderly and special needs of our area. It is an expensive but very nice assisted living facility with plenty of outdoor area to walk and enjoy The apartment rooms are not too large, but are very comfortable. I visited at least once a week over the two year period she lived there. The staff is very good and very organized. The only problem I had was they would always give in to whatever my grandmother wanted, mostly too much chocolate, which caused her to restless and hyper.Every week their would be a special covered dish supper and many of the residents did cook. I went once and enjoyed it. Their were several activities to do. Bingo once a month on a Saturday evening.I have been around several nursing homes and one other assisted living facility, but this one is the nicest one.It only took one month to get moved in and a couple of days to get all the paperwork done. I would certainly use them again and I wouldn't living there if it comes to that.Overall the facility had very nice workers and plenty of activities for the ones living there. Everyone living there was checked on casually and thoroughly.The grounds were always kept neat and clean every time I went.I would rate it a 4.5 out of of 5 points on the grading scale. "

"The staff at Southern Care Assisted Living are very good. My father lives in his own private room, which is very spacious and very clean. They have activities like bingo. They have musical groups that come in and sing for them. They take them on trips in their little bus. They serve good food too. "

"Maple Court Senior Care was a very nice place. They helped mom with housekeeping once a week and with the little grocery items that she stocked in her little kitchenette. She relied on the transportation provided by the facility to take her to stores. They also did medication management, and that was nice. They had a couple of activities and smaller activities to get mom out and mingle. The building was decorated very nicely. It was shaped like an O. They had a front area and the major lobby area with the fireplace. Then they had all the rooms go all the way around. They had a central courtyard that had a fountain in it. They had areas to sit outside in the grass, so if you have dogs/little animals, you could take them out there. It was a closed courtyard, so you could actually take them off the leash and run around. It was really nice. The only thing was you had to eat what they cooked for everybody. You couldn't have something made special for you. That was the reason why sometimes mom didn't want to go down there and eat her food, but they could take the food up to your room if you want to. The price was expensive, around $4500 a month. For what we got, it seemed to be comparative. The staff developed a relationship with their residents and with my mom. They had certain residents that the workers bonded with, and they focused on that bond, which was nice."

"We found Presbyterian Homes for my mom. It's excellent and their rooms are like college dorm room. My mom has a private room, which is ten steps to the nurses station and 15 steps to the dining room. Everything she needs is right there. As far as amenities, they have a beauty shop and a pool, which hardly anybody uses. They do offer things that elderly people are not able to do anymore because of their situation. They also provide meals. Everything seems like it's going good and it seems like it's a really good place. They're also always very clean."
