My mom moved into The Golden Apple Carriage House. They do activities with the people. I mean, it's a wide variety. They encourage people to go out into the common area and visit. The actual visiting part happens a lot. The thing I liked the least was that my mom had to be in the hospital. She broke her leg. We brought her back. Anything halfway through the night was gone. My daughter bought her one of those clocks with the day of the week and the time, and my mom likes yoga socks. I had just bought her ten pairs of them, and they're gone. All of her original undies and her bras are gone, and that's my only complaint. However, they do so well on everything. The staff is really good, and the nurses are on the ball. They had a guy. He ended up on the floor. I'm unclear about how that happened. They had people there immediately. He yelled out one time, and they're all there. Three of them went into the room, two waiting in the hall, and the director was already on her way. So, they took care of it. I mean, they were on top, the everyday things. They do well. They really do. There's food, and it's fresh. It's cooked by hand. It's not pulled out and heated. I've had two bites of two different things Mom was eating. She wasn't going to finish it. I wanted to see what it was like, and it was good. Not my taste, but I like a variety of stuff. Southern cooking is not my thing.

My dad has been a resident of The Golden Apple Carriage House for six weeks now. We chose this place because my mom stayed there when she needed assisted living, and we have a lot of friends whose parents are there, too. My dad got a private room with a private bathroom and a closet. It has everything you need. The floor is flat and level. He is having trouble getting up and down, so he needs somebody around him 24/7. The dining area is open, and they all eat at the same time. They have different menus for each person, so it is a good experience. They play games all the time, they have bingo, they have arts and crafts, and they have people come in and entertain them, too. They take care of them really well. It is a very well-maintained and nice place. They are a bunch of awesome people. Every time I call when I need information on something, they would get it for me really quickly.

Aunt B loves it!!

We love that our family member is there! She is happy and we so are happy that she is safe and happy. We couldn't ask for better people for her to be around!

I have friends at The Golden Apple Carriage House. They are happy, and they highly recommend the place. It is well kept. There are games, and they play Bingo. They have access to a limousine that takes them out where they want to go. They keep the residents very active. My friends are really impressed with the food. It is nutritious, and they have a good variety.

I had a family member here for a short time. The owner tells you what you want to hear in order to get your loved one in there, and then everything changes. I would not recommend this place, and if you have a loved one there, do random drop-ins to check on them.
