"I will be moving into The Canopy at Azalea Grove. I was very impressed. It's a modern and new facility, and it's very clean and sanitary looking. The people are very professional. The lady that showed me around knows what she's doing and is guiding me right through and answering any questions that I may have. We had lunch there and it was very good. They have a maitre d' to help you there. A lady that was doing crafts came around and showed us what she was doing. The room that I've taken possession of when I first go in is a respite room because it's furnished and I don't have to worry about it. I'm so handicapped right now before I have my surgery and hopefully, I'll be better afterwards. They have coffee bars and a card table set up if you want to play cards, they have large screen TVs in several areas, and they have a dining room. If you want the family to come in and have lunch together or dinner, they have a private dining room for that. The staff has called me back and checked with me and she's been very personal and professional, at the same time caring."

"Langdale Place was very nice and had a pleasant atmosphere. It's bright and cheerful. The overall feel was very welcoming. The person who toured me around was very, very knowledgeable and professional. Everything was exceptionally well taken care of. The dining area was also very pleasant and had a very homey type feeling."

"My mom went into The Orchard at Stone Creek. It's a very nice facility, and I like the way the individual houses are set up. It has been especially good with COVID, because they only have 16 residents in each house, so they're allowed to mingle, whereas if you have one big facility, you have to keep everybody separated, so that has been really good. In the beginning, the employees were all really good, but I think it's hard to keep good help at a place like that, so it has sort of gone downhill recently, but overall, they have all been really good. The food is not really good, and it's a major issue because my mom is not really happy with it."

"Fellowship Home was a wonderful place for Mom when she was sick. But they don't really do a lot, and the people there are sicker. It's a wonderful place. It's just that it was good for a short time for her. My mom loved some of the staff. The other staff, I just don't think they're up to par. I think they're short staffed, and I don't think they're as well-educated. There were a couple of mishaps, so I wasn't too happy about it. And it was hard for me to deal with her being so far away. But they were friendly to her. She loved them. The area where she was kind of a little bit depressing. But it was nice and a big room. They have outings to Walmart once a week. I think they take people out to lunch every once in a while, and have sing-alongs and bingo. The lady who ran the place was amazing. She had a lot of people who were wheelchair-bound and were really in bad shape who she helped out. But they didn't do a lot of more physical activities. It was a wonderful place and quite religious, too. The way they served dinner was like zombies. It was terrible. But you just had to laugh. They bring one plate out at a time. "

"My dad is in Baptist Village Lake Park. The food is good. It is clean. The nurses take really good care of him. Overall, you cannot beat the price. The rooms are big. They have laundry service and everything else that he requires. The people working there are great, always cheerful, and helpful. He really likes it. I like that he is happy. "

"We found Presbyterian Homes for my mom. It's excellent and their rooms are like college dorm room. My mom has a private room, which is ten steps to the nurses station and 15 steps to the dining room. Everything she needs is right there. As far as amenities, they have a beauty shop and a pool, which hardly anybody uses. They do offer things that elderly people are not able to do anymore because of their situation. They also provide meals. Everything seems like it's going good and it seems like it's a really good place. They're also always very clean."
