"Foothill Village Senior Living was a really nice place that I would like to go a few years from now. I think everything was right about it. The rooms were adequate, attractive, and comfortable. The people were nice, and the food looked good. The whole place was spacious and attractive. "

"The room at Skyline Place had a microwave sitting on a refrigerator, and there was a nice view of the trees, but it could use a little maintenance. The lobby area looked really nice, and the dining area looked OK. The whole place was basically clean. I was able to talk to the PR person and she was nice and congenial. If I was there, I'd probably spend most of my time in my room."

"My cousin moved into Astoria Senior Living - Oakdale. I liked the caring personnel that was there, not only dealing with me before he got there, but then after he got there too, and how helpful they are with everything. He's still going through an adjustment period, but they have numerous activities for him. They have live music come in and play. They have art, and he was a graphic artist. He's interacting with other people now whereas before he was a recluse practically in his house because he didn't drive. His apartment is adequate for where he's at, at the moment. He has a nice window that overlooks the courtyard. He has a private bath and a closet. I haven't tried the food, but I saw it because I've been in and it looks wonderful. They have a chef there that cooks, they have access to snacks during the day. I can't say enough about the place. One of the residents that was there, she's there temporarily in the assisted living part, and when I was touring the place, she reached out to me and told me that the place was wonderful. She said, when they say they treat you like family, they do. And so that was very encouraging to have one of the people that is staying there tell me how great it was. "

"My overall experience with Casa Viejos was good. The rooms were nice, we looked at the dining area, and it was very nice and clean. The staff was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very caring. The value was very good, and it was closer to my sister. You need to call them first because nobody is watching the gate, and you cannot get in. "

"My mother was at Country Haven for almost 3 years...I was so thankful that when she went on Hospice she was allowed to stay at "home"....The caregivers have always been top notch and I can't give them enough praise for what they do every day...And all the extras like picking up her medications from the drug store and bringing her meals to her room were all included in the monthly rent...Thank You Country Haven!!! "We're choosing Meadow View Manor for my mother because it was like a home setting for her. There is a placement for 20 people. They have both single and double bedrooms, and they're very spacious. Each one has its own bathroom. It can be furnished or you can provide your own furniture, whichever you please. It's a residential home, so each room has its own TV. You can have your own phone in your own room. Just like in your home, you could watch TV programs that you enjoy. It has a living room or a living area with a very large TV, where everybody can sit together. The eating area is open space with the living room, and they have it dressed nicely with tablecloths and napkins. They cooked all the meals there, and it was extremely clean and very kept up. The outdoor arrangements have the decks that people could exit to from their rooms. They could go outside and sit down. There are lots of trees, flowers and potted plants. It was very beautiful, very calm, and nice for her. The only thing they're lacking is a program of activities. They have one person there at night who does all the laundry and tends to people's needs. They have overnight staff, and the owner of the residence lives right there in an apartment attached to the residence. If there's ever any emergencies or needs, she is right there available."
