Heritage Living Center is short-staffed. You have to wait for a long to get people to come in, sometimes up to 40 minutes. So, I'm not pleased with the place right now, but I understand that because they do not have enough people working there. The facility is nice looking and everything. My husband is in a nice size room. He gets physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech, but I think they should do a little more. Right now, he is not eating and drinking well, so he needs to have assistance. All they can do is bring the food out and ask him if he wants to eat or not. If he says no, then they take it away. So, I'm having a problem with that. I have to travel there (45 minutes is one way to get down there) to try to get at meal times and stay through dinner time and it's getting a little tiring.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was there in 2019 as a result of a major hip surgery . I was on the rehab hall. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly staff. I never had a problem in the 21 days I was there. Never had a problem with any aspect of my care I was always treated with the upmost respect. Room was always clean, always got my showers when scheduled. Therapy staff was great. Food was good. Kudos to the staff. Thanks for taking such good care of me.

Never Ever Had I Known

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I would have never ever let my sweet dad step foot into this place had I only known and would have been able to “tour” before signing him up to be admitted. The smell, as I was walking down to his room when he first got there, was horrible! That was when I had my first hesitation thinking “What are we doing in this place?” With COVID these days people aren’t allowed to walk through a facility before signing the papers to have a loved one to be admitted. So that is why I’m writing this review. The very first night the nurse was working both rehab wings. Probably doing more than that because of the lack of CNA’s. Yes there are “Heroes working here”, but this place was so short staffed it was ridiculous! And there were some people with terrible attitudes. I could just tell they were just getting a paycheck! To me I felt like I was in an episode of “The Twilight Zone”!! My dad would always have to wait (sometimes 45 minutes) to get assistance to go to the bathroom. On his first “shower day” which was in the mornings -according to what we were told-and by late afternoon he still had not been showered, we asked for someone to do so, but their reply was that they didn’t have a partner to help. We insisted for this to happen, so I guess help “appeared”... he did get his shower. Also on the 3rd shower day, he didn’t get one either. Thankfully we were already getting him ready to be transported out of this awful place. Also his food was always cold. And we had to ask several times for one particular aid to clean his potty chair after plenty of time.... only to walk out of his room to see her talking to another aid. Upon leaving I was so ecstatic that I left one of his personal items in his room, so I had to go back to get it. I was told they could not find it. SO I went back to his room and low and behold the nurse was bringing it out as I rounded the corner of the hallway. It was obviously still in his room. I really don’t know how this place is still in business. I would give negative ⭐️ if I could! People need to be informed!

I visited this facility

Heritage Living Center has done a horrific job of managing infection during Covid '19. If you look at tracking sites such as Arkansas Online, they have the second-highest infection rates in the state and are under-reporting deaths. They are severely understaffed. Do not put your loved ones here, trust me.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I lived there for 9yrs during the time I needed help fighting my cancer. I was well taken care in every needing moment. The place is full of a loving and caring staff and they bring lots of fun and happiness everyday. All the residence are treated with respect and love and have activities that are fun and lively. There is live entertainment frequently where the staff interact and engage everyone. It is a wonderful place for those who need to be there. When I became healthy enough to leave, I took with me the friendship and love of all of the ones who work there. THEY ARE THE BEST EVER.

My parents are in Heritage Living Center. It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. I like it. I think my parents really like it there. They have nice people who give them everything they need. My parents both say they enjoy the food, so that's a good thing. Between the two of them, they're going through a lot of PT, but other than that, I don't really know what else they do.

The Facility was clean and daytime floor staff was more than adequate. Weekend staff seemed more concerned about how little they could get by with and their text messaging. Though the facility is family owned. Do not confuse this with being a not for profit. Administration is very profit driven. On this review weekday floor staff would receive 5 plus star Rehab staff would have a four star. Weekend floor staff would receive a 2 star Administration would receive a a negative star.

Heritage House is a wonderful facility. The place is topnotch. He had been there before and he really loves the staff. The whole atmosphere is very caring and is centered on the patient. The staff are very helpful. It's the place where he wanted to go. The food was really good. I can't complain anything at all. The staff was wonderful.
