The room was barely big enough for a bed, there was dirty linens strung out all over the place. he went in with a least 20 pairs of socks, he had none in his drawer. they brought him in smelling of strong urnine. He was so medicated he could not open his eyes. We left but returned and they knew this, when we got back probably 3 staff members were busily cleaning him up before we returned. We would call on the phone to see how he was, they would say he is moving to a different section of the nursing home because he was doing better, and that they thought he really liked it. Truth was we ask the person who was there and said he was moved because he was declining. Lie after lie. his personal hygiene was not good, he was unshaved, his hair was disaster and he smelled as if been in the diaper all day.

My dad is currently at Desert Haven Care Center. They are doing a good job with him. Whenever we have gone in there, he does not smell like pee or poop. He is relatively cleaned up. We have not had any problems.

I called to know if I could visit a resident and in return was given a very rude answer by the woman who answered the phone . A polite answer would of had been appreciated .

The facility itself was beautiful. There is a warmness and welcoming arora to the center. My family has ran into issues with management. They promised my aunt would be first priority; however, time and time again my aunt's family has been disappointed with the care she has recieved. My aunt has made friends and is comfortable in the facility; therefore, she remains there. Her family notes that if more individualized care or more intense medical needs were present my aunt would be transferred immediately.
